The firm’s main activities involve debt collection and legal action on behalf of financial institutions. Using extensively the firm’s Business Intelligence tool, which extracts data directly from the existing database, or SQL queries and Microsoft Excel for further data manipulation, analysis and report building, my main achievements & responsibilities are as follows:
• Complete automatization of the extraction from the firm’s database of cases eligible for different types of legal action: I set up from scratch, maintain, update and export work lists (using our Business Intelligence tool) based on our clients policies, to derive, on a regular basis, cases eligible for different types of legal action (payment orders, extrajudicial letters, etc.) and collection activities.
• Portfolio analysis: Set up and perform regular, large-scale, detailed analysis of our clients’ portfolios employing business concepts and MS Excel tools and applications (advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
• Production reports: Designed and produce daily, weekly and monthly production reports for the top management.
• Producing ad-hoc reports for all operations departments, as well as for clients, on a daily basis.
• Reports design and preparation for the top management’s meetings with clients.
• Designing, developing and implementing modifications on the firm’s database and Business Intelligence tool to their better functionality, in close collaboration with the Database Engineer.
• Managing the data analysis team’s junior analyst.
Key skills and competencies:
• Data manipulation and report building using MS Excel.
• Extracting data from databases using Business Intelligence tools and SQL queries.
• Assuming full responsibility for the firm’s reporting needs as well as for translating policies and business concepts to technical ones, providing guidance to operations departments and database engineers for appropriate action when needed.
• Multi-tasking, paying attention to detail and meeting strict deadlines.

As a Business Consultant/Analyst, I had the opportunity of participating in Productivity Measurement/ Improvement and Management Systems Re-Engineering projects. My main responsibilities were as follows:
• Company analysis: Operational, Behavioral, Statistical and Strategic. Detailed analysis of each department's operations leading to the development of their respective activity list. Collection and analysis of historical data on production, sales and personnel workload working hours. MS Access was used widely for this purpose. Analysis of their existing management systems based on their strengths and weaknesses.
• On site observations: Observation of the employees at work in order to measure their productivity and task completion times, to identify and propose action plans for: Better stock balancing, yield improvement, scrap reduction, lost time reduction, lead time reduction, space optimization, energy cost control, quality rejects reduction, logistics reduction and sales lost opportunities reduction.
• Data analysis in MS Excel: It involved the combination of historical data, activity lists and task completion times in order to derive the company's productivity results.
• Re-engineering of systems: Design, programming and delivery of a proposed management system for each department which included tools for targeting, planning, following-up and reporting. Proposed systems were automated and in MS Excel form. A manual was, then, prepared and delivered to all potential system's users on the clients' behalf.
• Working closely with the client: My role involved regular meetings with the client's middle and top management where our results and proposals were presented and agreed upon.

As a student trainee, I assisted to the technical department's computerization creating a database of all technical blueprints.

As a student trainee, I participated in a continuous improvement team project where we had to measure task completion times and perform statistical analysis to the results. I also wrote up equipment manuals and presented it to the foundry's director and to the production engineer.
