Graduate of the Shell launchpad for Rotating equipment accelerated program, working as the technical matter expert for all rotating equipment at aromatics, utilities and oil movement facilities within SASREF, I provide technical support to operations, maintenance and projects involving, but not limited to, the following tasks:
- Provide technical advice to optimize reliability and availability of the running rotating equipment.
- Carry out and provide quality assurance inspection and maintenance advice on all rotating equipment (that includes centrifugal and multistage Recip. compressors, steam turbines, centrifugal single and multistage pumps as well as positive displacement pumps)
- Carry out troubleshooting on rotating equipment and advise on improvements and corrective actions.
- Comment on design and engineering packages of Plant Changes and new projects related to rotating equipment.
- Advise on Quality Controls for the installation, commissioning and start-up of new rotating equipment.
- Control plant condition monitoring activities and perform vibration diagnostics (certified CAT. II)
(That includes online monitoring “Bentley Nevada system 1” and offline “Emerson CSI & MHM”
- Identify plant bad actors, investigate and put a plan to resolve them where I have resolved several chronic bad actors for the refinery.
- Interact with OEMs on a regular basis to resolve plant technical issues as well as to promote and implement latest technology solutions for to resolve plant issues.
- Member of the SPIRIT team supporting day to day plant operations within my role.
- Member of the company’s PDP management team (professional development program for engineers).
