Works Area: Western Bekaa, eastern Zahleh and Rashaya
Project Description: The project area encompasses 48 villages and localities totalizing a present population of 350, 000 inhabitants, considered to be living in a rural area.
The works include rehabilitation of existing pumping station, drilling of 9 new water wells, construction of 5 new pumping stations and ductile iron, welded steel and seemless steel pumping mains Ø 80 - 600 mm, 5 new regional reservoirs with capacity 1000 - 3500 m3 each, ductile iron transmission lines and branches Ø 80 - 600mm, local reservoirs and distribution networks.

Consultants: Dar El Handasah - Nazih Taleb For the works of the Set 1, BTD for the Set 2, 3 & Caza Rashaya villages.
Financing: World Bank for the detailed studies of the total project and the works of the Set 1 (about fifteen million US Dollars), Lebanese Government for the feasibility study of merging Ain Zarka Project within the Western Bekaa Project (about three hundred thousands US Dollars). Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development and Lebanese Government for the remaining Sets 2, 3 & Caza Rashaya villages (about sixty one million US Dollars).
Status: Studies and Works of the SET 1 finished. Works of SET 2, 3 and Rashaya are ongoing.
Project: Quaissamani Dam
Position: Project Manager
Works Area: Mount Lebanon, Falougha hills
Project Description: Construction of a rock-fill dam with storage capacity of one million cubic meters and awater treatment plant for potable water.
Owner: CDR, Bekaa Water Establishment
Design and supervision: Libanconsult-AGM.
Financing: Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development and Lebanese Government.
Status: Contract for work execution is signed. Works site delivery and notice to commence are ongoing.
