• Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Coordinate and lead the annual audit process.
• Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process.
• Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with the company policy.
• Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices.
• Effectively communicate and present the critical financial matters to the board of directors.
• Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation, and prepare the annual budget in consultation with the Executive Director and Treasurer and/or Finance Committee.
• Payroll preparation administration.
• Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met including Income Tax, sales Tax, Employer income Tax, Social security contributions.
• Reconcile bank and investment accounts.
Risk management
• Monitor risk management policies and procedures to ensure that program and organizational risks are minimized.
• Advise the organization's leadership on appropriate insurance coverage for the organization and the Board of Directors.
• Maximize income where possible and appropriate.
• Negotiate with Bank for lines of credit or other financial services as required and appropriate.
Office administration
• Oversee and supervise the administrative function of the organization including reception, property/facility management, safety of the work environment, and provision of furnishings and equipment necessary for effective operations.
• Oversee the management of all leases, contracts and other financial commitments.
• Monitor all legislation relevant to the organization (employment standards, (OSHA) Occupational Safety & Health Act, human rights, etc) and all regulations on professional certification to ensure that the organization is compliant.
Reviewing the daily journal entries.
Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports Accounts Receivables Aging.
Making estimates of new and proposed product costs.
Technical support for the software used in the company.
Preparing the Sales budget and accordingly the expenses budget and the following projected financial statements:
Projected Cash flow statement.
Projected Profit & Loss Statement.
Projected Balance Sheet.
Preparing a flexible collection budget according to the credit policy of the company.
Responsible for day to day finance and accounts operations.
Perform full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts.
Fixed Assets registry and depreciation.
Review & approve payment vouchers & journal entries Electronic Data Process (EDP) auditing.
Work consultatively with the respective departments on cost reduction initiatives
Financial Analysis.
Reviewing the internal control system and make recommendation for alternative procedures.
Preparing the consolidated financial statements.
Designing the accounting system (Policies and Procedures) to fit the client requirements.
Maintaining a dialogue between shareholders and the board.
Designing the organization chart.
Consulting services for the clients
