• Visit all area of the worksite: walks for long periods of time; climbs ladders to reach platforms, and scaffolds; enters confined spaces such as excavations/tanks or uses other means to observe all potentially dangerous working conditions.
• Evaluates working conditions and recommends improvements in HSE Methods, practices and procedures.
• Documents violations through notes, sketches measurements, photographs and video tapes
• Gathers evidence and prepare reports on safety violation complaints and occupational/environmental accidents.
• Testifies at administrative hearings and in court regarding violations of construction HSE and relevant legislatives standards.
• Assists the main contractor to investigate incidents to determine the cause of same, and to determine violations of DEL/Contractor standards. Makes recommendations to the contractor to prevent further recurrence.
• Review accidents, injury, illness and environmental reports to detect problem areas related to employee/contractor HSE.
• Explain the HSE standards and relevant laws to the employer site representatives and support representatives.
• Conducts meetings with employer representatives and employee representatives to discuss such points as the standards, violation and potential hazards and to resolve disputes regarding HSE issues.
• Inspect and prepare reports on request for variance to the established HSE standards and their enforcement.
• Participate in training programs related to revisions of the standards and their enforcement
• Prepare and maintain reports, files and written correspondence related to the work.
• Conduct training of other construction HSE personnel.
• Monitoring / Witnessing contractor Inductions, Toolbox Talks and Fire / Safety exercises .
• Conduct / Attending Weekly project Meeting and Safety Meetings
• Preparation of Task Risk assessment on the bases of Method statements for the project Works
• Attending PSSR (Pre Start-up Safety Review) Meeting and visits with UOP.
• Vigilant HSE supervision while Hot Tapping and HDDT activities.
• Take active part in commissioning of RAS LAFFAN GAS PLANT-QATAR, Taweelah Fujairah Gas Pipeline Project and EGDS (Eastern Gas Distribution Project )
• Ensuring safe completion of Erection of TRF Gas heaters, PIG Receivers / Launchers, BVS (Block valve Stations
