Rabigh Arabian Water & Electricity Company (RAWEC) is Joint Venture of Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo Chemicals created to develop, own and operate the Rabigh IWSPP project as utilities provider (Power, Water and Steam) to “PETRO RABIGH Oil Refinery". Plant Specification:

 7*120 MW Single Cylinders, Single Flow Extraction Exhaust Condensing Type (SC1F-25) Steam Turbines (MHI) and

 13*470 T/Hr Diesel and HSFO Fired outdoor single-drum natural circulation bottom supported type Water Tube Boiler. (MHI)
 24*503 m3/Hr Desalination Plant consists of 24 Reverse Osmosis Trains (Toyobo / Nitto Denko), DMF and MCF.

Responsibilities:
 Start up and Shut down of Fuel Oil fired Boiler, Steam Turbine Generator, Reverse
Osmosis Plant and Balance of Plant from Local.
 Maintain Main Steam HHP, HP, MP, LP Steam header pressure and flow and temperature
According to Petrorabigh requirement
 Monitor and visually inspect Plant Equipment and Equipment indicators to detect
 Operation of Electrostatic precipitator
 Operation of Fuel desulphurization through lime stone and gypsum
 Operation of Demineralization water plant
 Operating problems and make adjustments or minor repairs as required.
 Certified and Authorize for the Isolation/De-Isolation of Equipment (LOTO).
 Logging of parameters of Turbine, Boiler and RO Treatment Plant Auxiliaries.
 Coordination for routine and special maintenance with other Concern Departments.
 Complete and Maintain Station records, Logs and Reports from field.
 Arrange and perform Fire Fighting Drills as per Schedule.

• Ensure smooth operation, safe start-up / shut down of Power Plant during the shift.
• Identify abnormalities in routine operation of the plant equipment and informing to Supervisor
• To perform Balance of Plant routines and operation
• Responsible for the proper and efficient operation of gas turbine and its auxiliaries
• Responsible for the proper and efficient operation of gas turbine and its auxiliaries
• Proficient at operating the plant via a remote distributed control system (DCS). Periodically, equipment may need to be operated locally via PLC panel interfaces.
• Performs mechanical and electrical, manual equipment isolation
• Records all plant/auxiliary equipment operating data, including alarms and protective devices that are actuated and report any deviation to Shift supervisor for necessary action
• Operate and monitor machinery and equipment of GAS TURBINE and its auxiliaries during the shift, and ensure its smooth operation
• Online and Off line washing of gas turbine using GE chemicals
• Electrical operation of HV/MV/LV switch gear
• Start-up of Black Start Diesel Generator and Emergency Diesel Generator when black out occur
• Start-up of Instrument Air compressor and its auxiliaries

Duties and Responsibilities

Records all plant/auxiliary equipment operating data, including alarms and protective devices that are actuated and report any deviation to Shift supervisor for necessary action
Operate and monitor machinery and equipment of Gas Turbine and its auxiliaries during the shift, and ensure its smooth operation
Start up of black start diesel generator in the emergency condition or black out.
Start up of EDG when black out occurs.
Start up of main auxiliaries instrument compressor and dryer & cooling tower.
Handling of fuel gas reducing station and metering station.
Handling of LDO for worind and filtering SKID
Handling of HFO Treatment plant include separator process
Start up and shut down of treatment plant of HFO
Maintain all parameter of heavy fuel oil plant
Good knowledge of water treatment plant
Multimedia filtters, reverse osmosis plant and electronic deionization system of water
Maintain all equipment of water treatment plant.

Handling of emergency during plant tripping and blackout,
Plant startup and shutdown activities,
Fire fighting in case of any fire,
Switching of Low/Medium/High Voltages.
