Supervise and assist works in marine and industrial plant equipment maintenance, repair and services.
Supervise and assist repairs on service pipelines, mechanical installation of equipment, maintenance and repair of Industrial plant and machinery space equipment such as pumps, compressors, air compressors, heat exchangers, boiler piping, valves and actuators, electric motors, rollers and conveyors, food equipment and laundry machineries.
Supervise and assist repairs and maintenance trouble shooting of equipment by analysing faults, identifying defective parts and replacing spare components.
Supervise and assist repairs in the machine work shop by providing maintenance modification, dismantle and assemble of equipment spare parts and bench testing in accordance with manufacturer’s service manual.
Supervise piping rehabilitation and repair during ships dry dock at Cebu shipyard.
Prepare report regarding repair of equipment, spare used and time of completion.
Attend regular safety meeting to ensure jobs are done safely and efficiently.
Under the supervision of chief engineer and as an all-around technician, I am responsible in the mechanical repairs and carry out preventive maintenance task in the different types of equipment in the machinery space (auxiliary diesel engine, pumps, heat exchanger, boiler, electric motors, air compressors, compressors), food and laundry equipment.
Carry-out repairs in the workshop by removing equipment or equipment parts from site, provide maintenance modification, dismantle and assemble of parts and bench testing in accordance with manufacturer’s service manual.
Daily routine check-up on equipment or machineries and report for defects to be repaired immediately.
Operate lathe and milling machine required to repair and fabricate unavailable parts.
Being aware and actively participate in good engineering work practices with regards to rotating machineries and hot work activities.
Actively participate in maritime training with regards to marine pollution and safety meetings including emergency duties.
• Carry out repairs in the workshop, dismantle and identify defective parts of equipment, provide modification, repair and machining of parts, assemble and bench testing according to manufacturer’s service manual.
• Operate different machine tools and equipment such as lathe, milling, bending, power press, surface grinding, drill press, grinding machine, etc.
• Repair and fabricate different industrial plant equipment damaged spare parts in the machine workshop.
• Attend regular tool box and safety meeting to ensure jobs are done safely.
• Assist plant engineer & pipeline inspector every day during our field inspection of pipelines installed as per piping plan.
• Check pipes and make remarks on the piping plan after daily inspection of pipelines.
• Help and assist pipeline inspector in making report at the end of the day inspection for all pipes installed and connected (welded) as per piping plan.
• Attend regular safety meeting to ensure jobs are done safely and efficiently.
