- Ensuring and continuously following up on the implementation of all health and safety plans, policies, procedures, codes and practices to minimize any potential hazardous risk: exposure to persons handling the chemicals, to the surrounding environment, and to the communities and ecosystems.
- Developing the Lab. safety manual for all faculty’ labs: biochemistry, molecular biology, organic chemistry, microbiology, general chemistry and research Lab.
- Analyzing raw materials, materials in process and finished products for various parameters according to established written procedures.

- Controlling data management processes.
- Reporting of inconsistencies, malfunctions or variations from prototype.
- Preparing and standardizing reagents used in laboratory analysis.
- Having a consistently high level of quality of work.
- Writing explanations of implemented flaws.
- Preparing technical data & proof reading.
- Recommendation of new or revised methods for accuracy & efficiency.
- Assisting in auditing local suppliers & inspecting goods.
- Working on getting ISO accreditation.
- Analyzing samples from various sources to provide information on compounds or quantities of compounds present;
- Using analytical techniques and instrumentation, such as gas and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), ion chromatography, electrochromatography and spectroscopy (infrared and ultraviolet, amongst others);
- Interpreting data and adhering to strict guidelines on documentation when recording data;
- Reporting scientific results;
- Using a range of analytical techniques, instrumentation and software;

- On field scanning and reporting the public schools laboratories and equipments statues;
- Assessing needed equipment;
- Ensuring that activities implemented are in line with approved plans.
- Ensuring that the projects implemented are realized in a timely manner and as per the objectives and planned activities;
- Performing other job related assigned tasks.
Data entry:
- Keeping track of received data and source documents.
- Preparing and sorting source documents, identifying data to be entered.
- Comparing data entered with source documents, or reentering data in verification format on screen to detect errors.
- Reviewing and making necessary corrections to information entered.
- Compiling, sorting, verifying and confirming accuracy of data to be entered.
- Contributing to a team effort and accomplishing related results as required.
