Commercial Manager/Procurement Specialist - Qatar Rail - Doha Metro Phase 1
The role involves working on secondment to Qatar Rail, initially within the Procurement/Commercial Team and reporting to the Procurement Director for the preparation of major design and build tender packages for Doha Metro Phase 1 works, managing and coordinating the tender period clarification response process and tender communications as Package Lead for the Green Line Underground.
Subsequently I was seconded into the Green Line Project Team as Commercial Manager, reporting to the Green Line Project Director, with my role and responsibilities including contractual/commercial management of the appointed PMC, fulfillment of the role of Package Coordinator for the Green Line Underground Tender Evaluation Team, and maintaining a direct liaison role with senior Qatar Rail management across Commercial, Procurement, Legal, Program and Technical for planning, development and implementation of processes and procedures in readiness for the award of the D&B Contracts.

Building Transfield Services’ Road Infrastructure Maintenance and Operation capability in the GCC. My general management responsibilities included Expression of Interest and Prequalification submission preparation, tender preparation, development of transition and mobilization plans, contract resourcing of contractors, suppliers and project teams and direct employees, through to through business and market analysis and development, and client relationship development.
As the Alliance/Contract Manager for Transfield Services my role and responsibilities included direct involvement in post tender negotiations, optioning and BAFO submission analysis and preparation for the Mafraq - Ghweifat Highway PPP Project from Abu Dhabi to the Saudi Arabian Border for which Transfield Services participated in the IRTIBAAT Consortium as the Operations, Maintenance and Rehabilitation Contractor. The project was planned to be the upgrade of the 327km long highway by the Design and Construct Contract Consortium Partner with an OMR for a 25 year Concession Period.
