In Side Plant (ISP):
•Conduit installation
•Containment System Installation (Cable Trays, Trunk & Ladders).
•Cable Pulling (Copper, Optical Fiber & Co-Axial Cables).
•Equipment Rack & Cabinet installation.
•Splicing of Fiber Optic Cables (FOC).
•Cable Dressing & Termination.
•Cable Testing with Fluke Multi Meter, OTDR, Power Meter, etc.
•Detailed design of Telecommunication rooms / enclosures, in compliance with BICSI TDM
manual code, as per Saudi Armco standards.
•Pre-Commissioning of the deployed Systems as per Project Specs Requirements.
Out Side Plant (OSP):
•Familiarization with overall construction scope of work (Duct banks, Hand holes, Manholes & Embedded Accessories).
• Monitor the underground installation; check the burial depth and spacing requirement to adjust spacing prior to backfilling.
•Conduct internal inspection of all activities and record inspection findings in the internal inspection logbook; follow up with the construction to ensure that the activities comply with the requirements.
•Familiar with Engineering standards and procedures and applicable National and International codes and Standard as TIA/EIA, NEMA, BICSE etc.
•Prepared schematics for Optical fiber & Copper cables as per industry standards.
•Prepared Transmission link loss budget, pulling tension calculations, cable reel
assignment and Transmission parameters for Optical fiber and Copper cable.
•Construction & Commissioning of buried Fiber optic cable system.
•Inspection, testing, commissioning & acceptance of Optical fiber cables of Single-mode
To monitoring the on‐going daily construction activities and reviewing the construction method statements and making comments per project specifications, procedures & ITPs.
• Regular site visits for foreseeing the potential deficiencies based on his physical experience to share with construction crew and close supervision with regards to installation, testing & pre‐commissioning of Communication scope of works.
• Monitoring and updating the calibration of all Communication testing Equipment
and organize the preparation of communication cable test result and Instrument Loop Packages.
• Imitating internal Log Book Entries/NCR’s to construction crew for effective implementation of project quality plan, ITP’s, written procedures, project specifications, IFC drawings etc.
•Coordination with Clients inspectors for getting the feedback for open log book entries and preparations of corrective actions to close those violations.
•Emphasizing on the control of documents and records by advising the document controllers, QC
inspectors and conducting routine internal meetings with QC Manager for further vigilance to the potential problems which must be tackled accordingly to avoid non‐conformities.
•Complies with the highest level of safety during all stages of work to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents. Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace. Complies with all statutory requirements connected with the implementation of project.
•Establish the sequence of requirement for the quality of materials, quality of work, its inspection and records. To ensure execution of work and comply fully as per standard and approved specification and to prepare the required basic documents are ITP, Calibration reports, wiring diagram, RFI, QR and NCR.
