Responsibilities:
1.Establish a proper workplan considering business priorities, vendor and end user criticalities. Understand the market where operations take place, the sourcing process and its technicalities.
2. Assess the market to define the eligible vendor list which complies with quality and safety policies and have a strong financial situation. Provide accurate information to supplier, verifying technical specifications with the end user.
3. Purchase the best product or services, offering the best value-for-money in the market, by assessing economic and technical information on the proposal submitted by each supplier.
4. Provide key data based on numerical analysis for decision making. Carry out the management control process, detect deviations and implement improvement actions.
5. Ensure fulfilment of Purchase Orders and Contracts and define the Logistics of the products such as maritime, land or air transportation.
6. Seek purchasing cycle improvement by developing new or alternative products or services, and suppliers, maximizing quality and minimizing costs, lead times and liabilities for Clients.
7. Understand the relevant safety parameters associated with each type of purchase, and select suitable suppliers accordingly (ie: Safety indicators, HSE audits results).
