GTAP is designed as a rigorous program that combines classroom training, industry exposure and hands-on experience. The professional track is designed for people with three to seven years of networking experience.
During the program:
4 months were spent in Jordan to acquire the technical experience, trouble-shooting process, professional and presentational skills to perform as a Cisco NCE
3 months in India Technical Assistance Center (TAC) providing assistance to Cisco customers with their service requests in areas including:
- Troubleshooting of Routing and switching problems
- Troubleshooting hardware related issues
- IOS advisory
4 months in the Advanced Services team, working as a consulting Engineer in UAE on the Du Heart Project.
Member of the MPLS migration team, responsible for the implementation and migration of devices.
Major responsibilities include:
- Network Audit
- Preparation of Network migration Plan
- Implementation of the configuration
- Troubleshooting Layer 2 MPLS issues
- Design and implement LAN (Server/User), Cisco infrastructure as
per company requirement
- Cisco Switch and router Management (VLAN/ Access Lists,
routing)
- Configuring Cisco routers for internet connection with the ISP
- Install ISA servers and configure firewall policies, setting File
Servers and creating network access policies
- Install, monitor and troubleshoot Windows 2000& 2003 server
- Install and configure IIS for FTP and Web server use
- Install and manage SQL 2000 server (tables, queries, backup etc…)
