• Prepares and maintains sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for works performed.
• Verifies the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
• Directs or conducts surveys in order to establish legal boundaries for construction projects.
• Records the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land, land features or structures.
• Calculates heights, depths, relative positions, boundary lines, and other characteristics of terrains and structures.
• Prepares or supervises preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys.
• Plans and conducts ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements.
• Coordinates findings with the site engineers, clients, and others concerned with projects.
• Determine longitudes and latitudes of important features and boundaries in survey areas, using theodolite, transit, level, and satellite-based global positioning systems (GPS) and any other surveying related instruments required.
• Train assistants and helpers, and direct their work in such activities as performing surveys or drafting maps.
• Compute geodetic measurements and interpret survey data in order to determine positions, shapes, and elevations of geomorphic and topographic features.
• Develop criteria for survey methods and procedures.
• Develops survey data for as-built drawings.
• Road designer and Production of Longitudinal Profiles, Cross Sections, superelevation, crossfall … (using Autodesk LandDesktop, 3D civil)...
• Earthworks Volume Calculation
• Preparation of B.O.Q
• Performs other duties related to surveying as may be required by the Project Manager
