Supporting BRF expand through hands on expertise with Procurement, Project & Operational management. My commitment in ensuring sustainability and strategic planning has contributed directly to organizational profits & savings.
•Heading MEA operation categories with an annual budget of ~25m USD. This includes sourcing, procurement and delivery of CAPEX, MRO, spare parts, services, fuel, facility management and projects.
•Supervised BRF team for the establishment and operationalization of BRF plant in KSA. Single handedly led the global sourcing & procurement of CAPEX, projects, equipment & services. Negotiated ~10m USD worth deals in phase 1 and currently leading negotiations on phase 2 (expansion).
•Achieved a net savings of ~3m USD through various VE Projects in last 2 years.
•Supporting the supply chain operations by executing p2p (procure-to-pay) cycles including Tenders, RFQs, Bids, Negotiations, PO creation through SAP (Ariba), delivery and ensuring payment process. Steered efforts towards vendor’s performance evaluations like Mid-Year Business Review, PreQ, PJEs, NSPs.
•Extensively involved in scheduling services, arranging logistics, resource allocations, budgeting, VE projects, inventory management, risk management & objectives / goals tracking / KPIs against deadlines.
•Brainstorming, devising and implementing cash flow improvement strategies/initiatives amid Post Covid 19 pandemic like supply chain finances, obsolete spare parts liquidation, critical cash distribution etc.
•Leading monthly P&L review for MENA region by tracking, reporting and analyzing global cost variance
•Negotiating & drafting contracts with companies around the globe and operationalizing through SAP (Ariba).
•Extensively working with suppliers in EU, North & South America, MENA & Asia.
Throughout the journey, I’ve proved immaculate business understanding in Strategic procurement. Played my part in development & implementation of procurement role, strategies, policies and SOPs in line with company’s vision.
•Took over the responsibilities of Corporate, Facility, Mining, General Goods & Services while managing an annual budget of 30m USD.
•Led the takeover of Quarry operation from 3rd Party that resulted in a yearly savings of ~6m AED (30%). Cultivated the vendor base and supported mining operation of LEC Quarry by forecasting and managing the procurement of spare parts, fuels, fleet operation & maintenance services with Quarry/Workshop Team.
•Spearheaded the LHISA (LafargeHolcim Initiatives, Savings & Actions) for UAE (Cement Manufacturing Unit & Ready mix plant) in accordance with LH Group directives that resulted in EBITDA growth of 6%.
•Handled Geocycle operations to achieve LH Global net zero pledge. Contributed to goal by establishing waste management infra. (Elec/Mech/Civil) & Operations (Spares/Services/Fuels) to reduce carbon footprint.
•Supervised & Automated the reporting of TSA (Total Spend Analysis) for GCC Cluster to Ex-Com & Group Management. Trained and supervised GCC team for TSA.
•Trained LH staff from various countries in automation, reporting, contractors management and e-sourcing.
•Drafted Procurement Policy for LH GCC Cluster in coordination with stakeholders.
•Negotiated, drafted and implemented contracts for supplier/vendors from around the world with support of regional legal department.
•Successfully led several internal and external group audits.
•I was responsible for procurement of different materials, services & projects for LafargeHolcim UAE subsidiary. This included procurement of production (maintenance) services, raw material, fuel & spare parts.
•Managed an annual budget of ~12m USD by implementing procurement strategies like developing a strong vendor base & market intelligence etc. to convert cost reduction benefits into group assets.
•Supervised multi-discipline projects like procurement and installation of Caricamat & Storage Sheds, Installation of Deflector Boxes etc. with planning, legal, finance and projects departments.
•Led automation projects at UAE level including mapping of group assets with corresponding PSCS categories, codification of spares & services, development of procurement dashboard & contractors PJ evaluation.
•Achieved and Surpassed the Sustainable Procurement Goal at GCC level with Head of Zone Projects & Development, EMEA. Also supervised and trained the MENA team for Group Procurement Sustainability.
•Implemented best practices to secure group objectives by different tools like TrackIT, PROJECT, Third Party Due Diligence (TPDD) & e-sourcing tools like Jaggaer (Bravo) Solutions etc.
•Exercised hands-on approach to implement vendor’s performance evaluation policies and processes like Contractor Safety Management (CSM), Pre-Qualification, Post Job Evaluation, Safety & Technical Inductions.
•Extensively worked with reputed vendors like FLSmidth, Siemens, Schneider, ABB, GE, Atlas Copco, AEG, Dalog, Drydocks, Thyssenkrupp, Caterpillar, Komatsu & Total Oils & Lubricants etc.
• I was responsible for Sourcing, Developing of new suppliers and Managing the existing ones.
• Managed the Purchasing of spares from vendors by implementing Procurement procedures. Effectively ensured the deliveries of spares with logistics team by coordinating with suppliers.
• Reported KPIs regularly to Supply Chain Manager for Demand & Supply, Procurement, Supply Chain (warehouse, transport) and Quality.
• Kept track of inventory levels with respect to the consumption pattern (min/max items control) and ensured timely replenishment of stock.
• Extensively worked with regional management to ensure group objectives by quarterly spend analysis, targeting critical areas & bottle necks, reporting and performance evaluation.
