To develop training contents in consultation with Social Mobilizers & Project Coordinator on agriculture best practices & modern techniques.
To conduct the training of 40 farmer youth groups (each group shall contain 25 to 30 participants) on agriculture best practices & modern techniques.
To develop IEC material (leaflet & brochure) related to agriculture and disseminate among the participants and other community members.
To support field team in demonstration of model plots and guide farmer community for better management.
To develop wall messages related to agriculture & share them with Project Coordinator for painting in the target area.
To prepare and submit training report along with pictures not later than three days of completion of each training session.
To arrange and conduct seminars at UC &district level on importance of agriculture best practices.
To facilitate field team during distribution of seed bags at the point of distribution.
How to develop understanding of economic development issues, especially those related to agriculture and food prices
To develop policy analysis and advocacy work and ability to negotiate and agree policy positions amongst different stakeholders about agriculture, environment, forestry or Development studies
Ability to think strategically and creatively
Ability to prioritise, plan and organise work in a complex institutional setting
Excellent communication skills for lobbying and media work. Ability to communicate complex issues in a clear manner
Proven record of development of staff and partners advocacy and policy skills
Having strong inter-personal skills and ability to work well and flexibly in hard-working, multi-disciplinary teams based at different locations.
Ability to work on own initiative, manage complex workloads and deliver outputs to agreed deadlines
Demonstrated competencies in fund raising, financial management of large budgets and reporting.
Have an ability to develop demonstrable understanding and experience of gender and diversity issues and proven commitment to and evidence of promoting gender and diversity equity.
Motivate and train farmers to use modern technology to get more yield.
Establish liaison with the progressive farmers and famous dealers
Manage the sale of agricultural pesticides, nutrients and seed
Preparation of marketing and procurement strategy

Duties and Responsibilities:
Establishment of infra structure and nursery development for mango
Data Collection of project related in hard and soft.
DNA finger printing of ten commercial mango varieties and Collection/identification of potential mango varieties for commercialization with special emphasis on genotypes resistant to Mango Sudden Death Syndrome (MSDS).
Surveying, mapping and data collection
Collection and conservation of selected varieties of mango
Collection and purification of pathogen isolates at UAF
Varietal establishment and maintenance
Resistance testing against MSDS (Mango Sudden Death Syndrome)
Morphological characterization of selected mango varieties
Physico-chemical studies of selected potential germplasm for commercial adoptability
DNA finger printing of commercial cultivars and new potential cultivars of mango
Research analysis of project data.
