It was a four year degree, whereby the first two years focused on general courses which included business leadership, business communication and strategic management. In the last two years of the course I took specific subjects relating to business with a focus in accounting. The courses included subjects in finance, marketing, economics, management, financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing, and accounting information systems. The financial accounting courses focused on preparing and analyzing financial statements in accordance with IFRS. In the managerial accounting courses we were taught how to prepare budgets, and different ways to monitor and track costs.
