Throughout my career in RHI, I have taken responsibilities, which include :

1. Monitor schedule and cost reports in order to alert management
2. Earned value analysis and observing critical activities
3. Determine work packages which are going to be Subcontracted and prepare related bidding
documents
4. Analyze Subcontractor’s offer with respect to Project constraints, negotiate and finalize of
Subcontract Agreements
5. Update direct portion of the Project budget, with respect to schedule and cost requirements
6. Developing and Updating Level-5 schedules
7. Review actual site progress with respect to manpower levels, productivity, construction
metrics, convert available information and set up limited databases for data management
8. Work collaboratively with the client’s representatives to capture client priorities and
additional requirements.
9. Monitor procurement activities and offer corrective actions when required
10. Evaluate project scope and link procurement activities with the additional scope
11. Evaluate project documents and issue technical queries and purchase orders.
12. Assist evaluation for extension of time requests and claims

Project-1 : Navoi -2 450MW CCHP Power Plant, Navoi / Uzbekistan
Project-2 : Turakurgan 2 x 450 MW CCHP Power Plant, Turakurgan / Uzbekistan

❖ ÇALIK ENERGY has two ongoing power plant projects in Uzbekistan
❖ Turnkey basis by ÇALIK ENERGY & Mitsubishi consortium (EPC Contract)
❖ To execute the Projects, Mitsubishi Hitachi Power System (MHPS) and Mitsubishi Cooperation
(MC) formed a consortium, where the power island equipment is supplied by Mitsubishi
Hitachi Power System (MHPS) and Mitsubishi Cooperation (MC). Çalık Energy is responsible
for the general engineering works, supply of BOP equipment (Water treatment, Waste water
treatment, Water Intake Structure, Transformers, Switchyard), construction, mechanical and
electrical installation works, logistics and BOP commissioning.

My responsibilities include :

1. Assistance to project managers (follow-up their duties for both projects)
2. Coordination between departments involved in procurement process (engineering,
purchasing, finance, contract) and take action in case the process does not function to meet
project deadlines
3. Follow-up progress of the Vendors (there are over 50 different vendors for all disciplines) and
analyze performance of the Vendors with respect to project schedule
4. Detect and take action to solve the problems of the Vendors which may affect Project
(including commercial, engineering, transportation)
5. Correspondence with the Customer based on EPC contract

Project : Kazanskaya 390 MW CCHP Power Plant, Kazan / Russia

❖ Turnkey basis by GAMA & GE consortium (EPC Contract)
❖ The Client was TGK-16 OJSC owned by TAIF Group, which is among the largest investment
companies in Russia.
❖ 15.000 m3 concrete, 4.000 ton steel structure, 50.000 WDI piping work
❖ I have been involved in the project from mobilization up to handover of power plant to
Customer.

have managed several subcontract agreements such as :
✓ Piling works
✓ Civil works
✓ Architectural works
✓ Manufacturing and delivery of steel structures
✓ Heavy lifting works
✓ Mechanical works - HRSG and Power Block (erection of gas turbine and generator including
interconnecting piping works)
✓ Electrical and I&C systems installation works for overall plant, including power block
✓ Civil and Electrical works inside Switchyards
✓ Fire detection and protection systems erection works
✓ Piping insulation works

My responsibilities include :

1. Management of Subcontract Agreements by maintaining coordination with other departments
2. Monitoring of site activities of the Subcontractors in accordance with their obligation under
the Contract
3. Control and recording Subcontractors’ site progress by means of leading weekly subcontractor
meetings and ensuring that required actions are taken in order to keep up with the schedule
4. On site experience for the execution of works and preparation of lessons learned
5. Supporting construction teams and creating contract awareness in teams for the executed
works at site
6. Contractual correspondence with the Subcontractors
7. Recalculation of new unit prices and costs of the Subcontract Agreements in case of changes
and revisions
8. Identification of possible Subcontractor claims and warning site management about these
incidents
9. Evaluation of Subcontractor’s claims by verifying evidence and records
10. Control and approval of Subcontract interim and final progress payment reports; ensuring that
progress payments are back-traceable and comply with contract terms.
11. Contractual correspondence with the Client
12. Checking material procurement requests made by construction teams and obtaining market
search results for optimum price prior to purchase
13. Follow-up for RFI (request for information) notices for design related issues between
engineering department and construction department
14. Creating and managing a photograph archive of site activities for progress reporting and as a
tool for resolution of claims

Project : Tufanbeyli 3x150 MW Thermal Power Plant, Adana / Turkey


❖ Multinational project located at ~450.000 m2 project area
❖ Contractor of the project was SK Engineering & Construction (South Korea) and the Client was
EnerjiSA.
❖ The Project consists of one Power Block, one Switchyard Area and specific structures such as
Cooling Tower, Silo
❖ KALEMCİ YAPI Co. Ltd. was the main subcontractor for civil and architectural works



My responsibilities include :

1. Management of Project Management Office
1.1. Contract management with the Contractor
1.2. Verifying scope of work in accordance with contract and preparing site orders for additional
items
1.3. Claim management - preparation and resolution of claims
1.4. Correspondence with the Contractor
1.5. Participation in field and commercial meetings with the Contract
1.6. Preparing monthly progress payment reports and reviewing with the Contractor until
approval
1.7. Daily, weekly and monthly reporting of site activities
1.8. Keeping all site related document (such as drawings, site orders, manuals etc) up to date and
supplying updated document to field
1.9. Archive of correspondence, drawings, site photographs
1.10. Preparing and tracking purchase orders


2. Supporting Field Activities
2.1. Preparing Work Method Statements for related activities including construction of Cooling
Tower and Turbine Pedestals
2.2. Coordinating with construction team for preparation of Design Chance Notices
2.3. Support for material applications


3. Field Experience
3.1. Earth works (approximately 6 million cubic meters of earth work was performed during
project)
3.2. Soil improvement by means of jet grouting and piling
3.3. Reinforced concrete works using sliding, climbing and conventional formwork system
(construction works for Cooling Tower, Turbine Generator Foundation, Ash Silos, Limestone
Silo, Buildings)
3.4. Concreting in hot and cold weather conditions
3.5. Erection of steel structures and deck slabs
3.6. Construction of infrastructure (storm water line, sewage systems)
3.7. Roof and façade cladding works
3.8. Epoxy works (such as oil resistant epoxy coating, chemical resistant epoxy coating etc.)
3.9. Architectural finishing works (industrial doors, suspended ceiling etc.)

Project : Structural analysis of Azerbaijan landmark structure Heydar Aliyev Center


My responsibilities included :

1. Reinforced concrete and steel structure structural analysis
2. Superposing mechanical and electrical and structural drawings, applying structural revisions
3. Coordination between departments located in different countries
4. Attending design meetings and representing structural design point of view at the meetings.
