 Job Responsibilities:
• Plan, budget and implement various aspects of infrastructure activities that include managing and providing support services and managing around 20+ people.
• Provide input to the department business plan and suggest projects what would lead to the improvements of the department
• Contribute to improve the services and support within the area of authority
• Implement, suggest modification, communicate and propose refinements to the infrastructure business processes and systems ensuring high quality
• Motivate and appraise reporting staff ensuring that the performance is managed
• Ensure effective coordination with other departments within the organization to facilitate the process
• Prepare ad hoc managerial reports providing status and issues involving infrastructure activities
• Prepare to generate special requested reports from the end users
• Perform other duties within the context of job roles as required by the management

 Taking responsibilities of other seniors when they are not available:
• Acting on behalf of ICT Director
• Acting on behalf of Head of Technical Support or Head of application management

 Other managerial responsibilities:
• Conducting system gap analysis and capacity planning

As a helpdesk I was providing my support to DAFZA employees in whatever related to PC, Telephone and printer problem. As for Tenants, the support was provided based on demand and charging was on hourly basis. In addition to that, providing telecommunication services like Telephone and fax lines as well as Internet was 50% of my job responsibility and Etisalat was the dealer to achieve a big part of that. Furthermore, a weekly DAFZA website workshop was conducted to give the tenants an idea about the website and how to use it to avoid errors.
