• Develop organizational strategies by contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives

• Ensure compliance and implementation of the established management systems in accordance with the conditions and requirements of the ISO 9001 (Quality Management System), 14001 (Environmental Management System), 20000-1 (Service Management System), 22301 (Business Continuity Management System), 27001 (Information Security Management System), 50001 (Energy Management System) and 55001 (Asset Management System)
• Establish means for the resources to achieve their roles in the company’s strategies and objectives
• Protect assets by establishing compliance standards; anticipating emerging compliance trends; designing improvements to internal control structure
• Prepare, execute and maintain plans to implement a process and service improvement framework within Gulf Air’s IT Department using the industry’s best practices
• Prepare and maintain training plans to up-skill the department’s resources to achieve the defined strategy
• Establish and maintain a Quality Assurance (QA) function to regularly assess the Department’s activities to determine the level of compliance with the established standards and identify areas of improvement
• Develop, initiate, maintain, and revise policies, processes and procedures for the general operation of the compliance scheme of the Gulf Air IT Department and its related activities. Manage day-to-day operation of the scheme
• Act as the single point of contact between the Department’s resources and any auditing function
• Ensure that the Change Control process is adhered to.
• Evaluate and approve unplanned and emergency change requests.
• Prepare the change requests to be reviewed by the Change Control Board.
• Pre-screen the logged change requests for completeness and accuracy.
• Generate and report the process’s performance indicators to measure and analyse effectiveness.
