Site Manager - Acting Customer Project Manager
Project: King Fahd Medical City - This first Proton
Site Manager
Duties & Responsibilities :
Team Leadership
Responsible for building, leading, developing and managing a local team of highly skilled service engineers
who oversee the installation and commissioning of the Proton Therapy equipment on site.
Plan and manage site team training program
Manage team hiring process in different phases with full coordination with local and international HR
Partner.
Supervise the team and managing the application of human resources policies (appraisals, goal setting, time
policy, planning, etc.)
Project Management
Manage the full execution of installation and commissioning of the Proton Therapy System following Varian
standard process and aligned to quality system.
Manage preventive maintenance tasks executed during installation and commissioning.
Manage overall project budget and financial performance.
Manage logistics and material provisioning and liaison with subcontractors (supplies, storage, etc.)
Ensure smooth transition post commissioning and manage transition and handover plan with the Services
team.
Acting Customer Project Manager
Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee project end-to-end from the building phase, installation and commissioning phase.
Interface between the customer and the rest of the Varian team to deliver the system on time and on budget
while achieving a high standard of quality and delivery.
Ensure the customer’s requirements are met in terms of compliance, technical performance, and timing.
Oversee the application of Quality Assurance processes, in parallel with compliance to local legal
requirements.
Interface with and manage subcontractors and suppliers both local and international.
Supervise and support main contractor on site to ensure finalizing building snag list.
Governance
A senior member of the Corporate Project Management Board responsible of the prioritization, selection and evaluations of strategic programs
Contribute to the development and advancement of project methodology, guidelines, tools, templates and work practices
Establish and enforce policies and procedures regarding internal and external project management reporting
Program Planning, monitoring and controlling
Centrally manage programs schedule and participate in the evaluation of the Programs delivery and performance
Assist in the evaluation and selection of products, tools and/or services through the bidding process
Manage and control complex stakeholder environment (supplier, owner, customer, contractor)
Manage project managers, site manager and site engineers
Talents development
Provide extensive support to project managers in tracking issues, risks and the development and detailing of project plans
Designed training manuals and offered several training sessions to projects teams
Project Management
•PMO Establishment:
An active member of the PMO establishment team whereby I assisted in developing project management policies, procedures and templates
Develop and manage the department’s operational plan and develop efficient systems to deliver functional objectives within the department.
Work on overall project planning through reporting on project schedules and deliverable
•Service Delivery:
Lead and oversee the planning and execution of the department’s services ensuring the development and implementation of operating policies and procedures that will meet agreed service levels\
•Resource Management:
Manage and oversee the allocation of resources, conduct of activities and production of agreed outputs to agreed service levels within the department to achieve authority and program goals and objectives
•Reporting:
Monitor projects revenue and expense reports, review for accuracy and completeness
Develop designs and establishes reporting standards for the company
Prepare high level management reports, set out implications of actions and recommendations, and ensure that these are consistent with agreed up on targets
Monitor the implementation of PMP standards across all projects
•Training:
Develop and conduct project management workshops and seminars for projects managers and senior leadership
Quality Management
•An active member of the Accreditation Taskforce (JCI) and Operation Quality Team
•Evaluate and monitor the performance and efficiency of Quality Improvements Projects to ensure that implementations are on target
Strategic Planning
•An active member of senior management Strategic Planning Committee
•Facilitate the Strategic Planning exercise for King Fahd Medical City and coordinate with various stakeholders to insure proper data gathering, analysis and dissemination
-service Engineer: for all kinds of SHIMADZU x-ray machines(Mobile, C-ARM, Digital X-RAY, Angio) and MDS NORODION Cobalt Machines.
During this project, responsibilities included:
·Perform maintenance and installation works (electrical and mechanical) for the above machines
·Perform Training to both Doctors and technicians to use the system
-Medical Engineering Services is a company working in installation and service of Radiation Oncology machines ( Varian Agent In Cairo
Installation & Maintenance works: for Linear Accelerator, Simulator, High Doe Rate (HDR) and Planning System (VARIAN )
During this project, responsibilities included:
·Installing these machines beginning from pre-installation to commissioning tests
·Service and maintenance works.
·installing and Programming software.
