- Coordinating with the HSSE Manager and dealing with all matters pertaining to the development and implementation of the HSE Management system, setting up emergency procedures and evacuation plans and ascertaining that all the employees are aware of the procedures plans and emergency assembly points.
- Performing audits to ensure compliance with legislation and any corrective actions required and assuring first aid, fire and security facilities are sufficient and locally available.
- Helping Operations Team in terms of HSSE initiatives and processes and promoting safety awareness on site by imparting safety induction training and safety briefings to workers and supervisors.
- Taking part in developing Standard Operating Procedures related to managing HSSE and devising an HSSE training matrix for employees as per job requirements.
- Recording, reviewing and approving risk assessment and Hand Safety method statement for all existing hazards on different job functions.
- Examining incident, making any required contingency/emergency plan and identifying potential hazard areas, so as to proactively prevent accidents, aiding Managers/Supervisors in investigating accidents / incidents process and making necessary recommendations.
- Assuring that Project Manager/ Engineer/ Site Engineer/ Foreman are up to date on HSSE performance and preparing the HSSE plan of the site and risk assessment process in coordination with concerned parties.
- Performing periodic HSSE inspections and advising Managers/ Employees about safe work practices and safety standards and regulations.
