- Documents evaluation from the client requirements for further clarification based on standard, specification and discrepancies of terms and conditions pertaining to the provided documents.
- Prepare and/or review plan layout, piping layout and clearance criteria.
- Prepare and/or review rotating equipment data sheets and specifications.
- Participation in the Review and Technical Evaluation of vendors offer.
- Coordination of design and engineering specifications and equipment manufacturers.
- Participate in the preparation and compilation of the equipment operation and maintenance documents to be submitted to the client.
- Participate in the preparation of estimates for major work changes.
- Preparation and updating documents required for the request for quotation for certain equipment, materials and others - including other required/supporting documents.
- Quality control/quality assurance of the engineering documents.
- Site engineering and as-built drawings interpretation.
- Augmenting all mechanical engineering functions as required by the client as well as the proposals department, creating designs that are efficient, technically sound and suit the client's requirements.
- Handling elements pertaining to mechanical design of plant's tanks, designing the piping flow routes through plant, preparing detailed drawings such as mechanical GA drawings, piping isometric, pipe supports etc. in addition to ensuring technical sufficiency of all works rendered.
- Performing periodical reviews of mechanical layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and ensuring the accuracy of calculations and dimensioning.
- Proposing process changes for improvement in quality and reducing turnaround time on all jobs.
- Creating and sustaining robust relationships with various intermediaries associated on different projects, interfacing with them, and employing all measures at disposal to ensure timely execution of assigned tasks.
