Major Responsibilities:
The MEAL assessor will be engaged in monitoring and accountability activities:
- Monitoring responsibilities:
• Conduct high quality data collection for monitoring purposes under the MEAL unit.
• Review and clean collected data.
• Keep data well organized for all monitoring activities.
• Conduct monitoring field visits for program activities.
• Help implement methodology for monitoring of the program activities and ensure field staff follow relevant protocols.
• Support in compiling and analyzing collected data.
• Capture the challenges and learning opportunities to feed in the improvement of the monitoring activities.

- Accountability responsibilities:
• Support the operation of beneficiary’s communication channels including Helpdesks and suggestion boxes which are available at the IRC’s facilities in different locations.
• Receiving, recording, classifying and routing complaints that are collected through helpdesk and suggestion box channels for attention.
• Responding to requests for information and channeling feedback.
• Provide support in complaint fact findings process, when required.
• Support in compiling statistical and analytical reports for the collected complaints and feedback.
• Support in awareness creation and dissemination about the complaint and feedback mechanism.
• Support in rolling out trainings and refresher trainings as necessary in all field sites.
• Perform quarterly review of beneficiary accountability and ensure new ideas are being implemented at community level.
• Capture the challenges and learning opportunities to feed in the improvement of the Feedback And Response Mechanism.

- Reporting:
• Draft initial field report regarding the implemented activities that includes the updates of the work plan, challenges and lessons learnt during the I implementation
Job Requirements:
Education: Relevant higher national diploma or university degree or other advance technical support.
Work Experience: 1-2 years in monitoring, data collection, analytical and/or social services, with case management experience and interaction with beneficiaries strongly preferred
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of monitoring and complaints systems and tools.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze, interpret and present data.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Experienced user of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and database management software; familiarity with mobile data collection preferred (such as ONA).
• Strong self-initiative, and ability to be flexible under pressure.
• Preferably have a previous working experience with Syrian refugees and local communities.
