• Reviews contract drawings, specifications and other procurement materials that have been prepared by others and provides comments on the results of the reviews.
• Reviews supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses.
• Performs complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.
• Oversees the preparation of contract drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Regularly interfaces with other engineering disciplines as well as other departments.
• Checking all Data Sheets, P&IDs, GADs, isometrics and 3D models.
• Leads, manages and coordinates the activities of all mechanical engineering staff to accomplish tasks and to ensure that all activities are completed in the planned time.
• Review and check drawings according to design calculations, codes, standards, datasheets and specifications prior of preparing BOM (Bill of Material) and TDC (Technical Delivery Condition) for all materials required in the project.
• Provides technical guidance to CAD designer/drafters, designers and engineers working on the same project.
• Coordinating and following up all engineering correspondences with clients.
• Coordinating with the Planning Dept. to develop a detailed schedule to achieve the engineering targets in accordance with project time frame.
• Attending Kick of Meeting (KOM) and regular meetings with clients.
• Technical evaluation for sub-suppliers technical offers for material supply (plates, dished ends, flanges, non-standard forging, pipes, fittings, mist eliminators, bolting, gaskets, isolation kits …etc.) and preparing technical reports.
• Issue the commissioning spare parts list as per contract and recommend spare parts for operations.
• Technical support to the estimating dept. during bidding stage.
• Technical support to purchasing dept. to answer vendor’s technical questionnaire.
• Technical support to fabrication dept., answer any clarification and solve any technical problem.
Responsibilities included
Review and study the contracts technical points, scope of supply and projects specifications.
Coordinate with the planning department to develop a detailed schedule to achieve the engineering
targets within project time frame.
Prepare MTO (material take off) and issue MOL (Material Ordering List) for material procurement
considering all requirements as per relevant code and project specifications.
Prepare the commissioning spare parts list as per contract.
Supervise and prepare shop drawings for pressure Vessels, Tanks, piping skids, pressure vessels
platforms using the appropriate 3D & 2D programs.
Coordinate with the clients for the technical issues.
Attending technical meetings with clients, company departments.
Technical support to fabrication department, answer the clarifications and solve the technical problems.
Technical support to procurement department to answer vendor’s technical clarifications.
Technical support to the estimation department during bidding stage.
Technical support to Contract department and Cost control department for any variations and claims.
Leading Plate work, piping, and workshop machines adjusting group.
