• Sets a goal, and objectives to continuously improve the overall operational area HSE performance in line with corporate policies, and management standards.
• Conduct H&S audits and inspect all the facilities and operations including subcontractors’ activities.
• Arranges for OSHA mandated testing, and/or evaluations of the workplace by external agencies/consultants.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly, and annual safety status report to safety and top managers addressing advice, events, weaknesses, achievements, and improvement, and all matters of safety Finalized.
• Supports the Top Management in the HSE Management System standard issue.
• Ensures, in accordance with the corporate guidelines, the implementation, updating, review, and auditing of the Company HSE Systems.
• Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate Safety, and Environment System procedures, and provides for their updating in line with changes in Legislation, and Company Directives.
• Provides for motivation, and familiarization of all Company personnel respecting the importance of complying with Company system procedures, and all safety equipment provided.
• Assists the Commercial, Engineering, and Operations Department in their dealings with Clients in all issues concerned with Health, and Safety at work.
• Conducts, and takes part in safety audits, and accident/incident investigations both internal and external.
• Carries out analysis of accident/incident statistics, identifying trends, and suggesting improvement plans.
• Carries out any in-house safety training.
• Preparation of Health, and Safety documentation for new tenders.
• Provide HSE leadership, and technical expertise to the company, and sub contactor’s personnel to continuously improve HSE.
• Coordinating, and attending HSE weekly, and quarterly Meetings, Operational meetings, Top Management, meeting corporate.
• Participate in planning meetings to identify any health, and safety concerns inherent in the operations' daily work-plan.
• Record analysis information of injuries, damage, and production loss assess accident trends, and review overall safety performance.
• Preparation and implementation of project-specific HSE plans to ensure a safe working and adequate emergency response.
• Discus HSE issues every day through the daily meetings to promote and enhance HSE performance.
• Facilitate, and use the regular Safety, and Communications Meetings to reinforce everyone’s HSE commitments and behaviors.
• Provide monthly reports to the Top Management and report any shortfall to the appropriate authority with proper justification, and recommendations.
• Reviews, and approves all subcontractor's safety plans
• Establishes the policies, and procedures for a fleet safety program to help ensure a safe work environment for drivers and products.
• Ensure the accident-reporting system is in operation and used effectively, and maintain accurate safety statistics of accidents.
• Review, and upgrade standards, and procedures in the work environments focusing on continued improvements.
• Promoting, motivating and maintaining a standard of health, safety, and environmental awareness at the worksite, and the camp area by conducting safety meetings, in-house training, and competitions.
• Develop the required procedures in the plant for compliance to ISO 45001, 14001, and IS0 9001 international standards.
• Defines, and builds HSE management system, and prepares the safety manual, and safety handbook.
• Participates & planning safety training programs includes interpretation of regulations, and manuals, whether internal or overseas training and development needs, requirements for employees
• Prepare the safety, environmental & emergency plans, and ensure continuous necessary reviews and updates to meet any new changes that occur in the systems or building in coordination with all concerned parties and official authorities.
• Lead the auditing of work to improve the level of compliance, and Set action plans to be implemented in cooperation with management to maintain a safe work environment.
• On a regular basis, measure the plant safety performance in regards to safety culture among workers, training hours, incident, and near-miss records, injuries response, and statistics, and corrective actions implementation.
• Coordinates, and assistance plant supervisors/engineers on safety requirements for new facilities /equipment to reduce accidents, and potential losses.
• Spreading the safety culture, and preventive measurements for employees using awareness, seminars, lectures, emails, training, induction training, and flyers bulletin to clarification of safety requirements, and precaution.
• Monitor all trainees’ progress, prepare follow-up reports, ensure the day-to-day filing ad correspondence, and records of trainees are maintained.
• Verifies that injury logs and reports are completed, and submitted to related government agencies.
• Collect all data regarding exposure hours, recordable incidents, restricted duty incidents, lost time incidents, first aid incidents, and near-miss incidents in statistic form to get results putting an objective for it to be improved.
• Create & maintain Environmental management system program EMS, and waste management programs including (treatment, collection, recycling of waste related to the company activity, and reporting)
• Maintains monitors, and reviews relevant environmental, and sustainability aspects.
• Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to the upper group safety manager.
• Trains, and carries out drills, and exercises on how to manage emergency situations.
• Inspects the site to ensure it is a hazard-free environment and verifies that all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use.
• Watches out for the safety of all workers, and works to protect them from entering hazardous situations.
• Correct unsafe acts or conditions through the regular line of authority with maintaining awareness of active and developing situations.
• Review the Incidents and non-conformity cases corrective action Plans for safety implications.
• Conducts job hazard analysis, risk assessment, and enforces preventative measures.
• Carry out PTW Monitoring and review.
• Conducts toolbox meetings.
• Coordinates with supervisors, and engineers of other departments to implement safety rules, and regulations.
• Participates in the operational area activity audits, accident investigations, facility inspections, safety meetings, and procedure reviews.
• Review all “work method statements” from the safety point of view to prepare their risk assessments, and suggest the proper safety control measures for every work step, and provide the safety procedure for every task.
• Conduct essential training in safety such as basic skills of firefighting to the company employees supported by actual practice.
• Maintain records, and statistics on accidents (both minor ad serious), and circulate to management, highlighting dangerous trends, and accident rates.
• Ensures that proper environmental, and industrial hygiene procedures are in place, and implemented.
• Establish, and Control in Purchase, and distributes all safety protective equipment.
