• To observe and implement Company Health,
Safety and Environment Policy Statement.
• Conduct safety induction for employees and
maintain records.
• Conduct on job safety training and ensure tool
box talks are carried out and maintain record of
such talks.
• Instruct and communicate employees Hazards
associated with the work activity.
• Conduct periodically power and hand tools
inspection
• In coordination with Department Manager /
Engineer develop risk assessment for major tasks
and suggest preventive actions to minimize /
eliminate the risk.
• Prepare weekly report / monthly report (which
include accident statistical data) and submit to
HSEM and Client.
• Advising the project supervisory and
management staff on compliance with the law
ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and client’s
requirements
• Investigate near miss / incident / accident in
coordination with the line Management and
ensure that a written report is prepared and
forwarded to Project Manager and Client.
• Organize Safety meetings and play vital role in
discussing safety issues with the line
management.
Prepare and circulate the minutes of meeting.
• Conducts special inspection for scaffolds, fire
appliances, ladders, power
tools, and verify third party certifications and
other competency documents for machineries
such as cranes, scissors lifts, hoists etc.
• Arrange and ensure emergency signs and other
caution sign boards including assembly point
signs are placed at respective locations for
information.
• Ensure good housekeeping maintained at work
areas. If not, advise the concern verbally and in
reports to do the needful.
• Advise the shop management of any motivation
scheme for creating safety awareness and safety
violation to prevent unsafe acts and conditions.
• Attend monthly HSE meetings with client Close
out any NC raised from client i.e Unsafe Act,
Condition or near miss
• Follow HSE Standards during work Execution
• Conduct Weekly Safety meeting with Site Supervisors.
• Conduct monthly Safety Trainings for workers
• Reporting the non-conformances (unsafe Acts & Conditions) and develop the corrective action
plans
• Participation in safety inspections.
• Conduct frequent audits and inspections to ensure the effectiveness of HSE programs and
procedures
• Conduct weekly and monthly audit meetings
• Conduct periodic internal audits of HSE management systems and Permit to work.
Coordinate and participate in applying risk management techniques to identify and evaluate HSE hazards/risks in field, its facilities and work activities and recommend measures to Site Management on measures to reduce them.
•Ensure that mandatory safety, environmental and inspection records are updated and available at all times for inspection by Company auditors Government inspectors and recognized agencies
•Conduct weekly safety meetings and monthly safety review and inspection and monitoring of work site activities.
•Prepare the incident & accident investigation reports.
•Conduct frequent audits and inspections to ensure the effectiveness of HSE programs and procedures.
•Conducts inspections of hand and power tools, Mechanical/electrical/ Instrument Tool/equipment’s as well as calibration equipment’s.
