I am an information security analyst, responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of data, in a telecommunication company.
As a security Analyst, my job is to:
- Plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and personal information of staff and clients;
- Ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure;
- Respond to computer security breaches;
- Ensure compliance of security measures.
• Project documentation, project briefs, endstage reports, highlight reports and business case
• Risk and issues management, quality checks and change management
• Project planning, resource allocation and monitoring, estimating and budget management
• Project communications, checkpoint meeting, project board meetings and communication plans
• Stakeholder engagement often involving senior bank officials
• Managing project teams, both external suppliers and internal staffs
As a security consultant, I work with a wide range of clients from various industries such as public sector, financial, etc to secure their IT environment against cyber threats. Being on board for more than two years at PwC Mauritius, I had the opportunity of working in the following areas:
- Information Security and Governance,
- Digital Forensics,
- Compliance review (ISO 27001/2:2005/2013)
- Vulnerability assessment & penetration testing.
As a result, i have gained extensive experience and knowledge as detailed below:
- Experience with security tools such as Nmap, Nessus, Acunetix, Metasploit, Kali Linux, core impact, GFI languard, Burp Suite Pro as well as other various commercial tools.
-Understanding of operating systems administration (Microsoft Windows / Linux)
-Understanding of TCP/IP networking
-Understanding of Web protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, and SOAP)
-Understanding of Web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, XML, AJAX)
-Testing web applications for common web application security vulnerabilities not limited to OWASP TOP 10.

- Digital Forensics using osforensic, ftk imager for windows and Mac.
