• Structure-Soil-Structure interaction was the focus of my graduation project and it was performed on Bentley PLAXIS software.
• The report provided a detailed examination of the impact of a 12-meter-deep excavation supported by steel pipe struts on the columns, beams, slabs and foundation of a nearby structure. The study explores how this excavation affected the building on different excavation depths, different struts placements, types of soil and at varying distances of buildings from the excavation site.
• Conducted a range of soil sample tests in the geotechnical laboratory, including California Bearing Ratio (CBR), Atterberg limits, measurement of soil water content, analysis of particle size, and testing of compression strength. Additionally, Plastic Limit and Liquid Limit tests were performed to assess the soils behavior under different moisture levels.
