Te ATM and POS Support Team was responsible for the 24/7 functioning of all the ATMs (over 400) and the POS relationships (over 6000) of the bank. The team worked three shifts and was responsible for solving all ATM and POS related issues. The Support Team received calls from the Bank’s Call Center, customers and staff and then liaised with Custodians, Vendors, IT or Operations to ensure that the problem was resolved.
ATMs and POS were monitored constantly to ensure proper functioning and to prevent fraud.
Part of my responsibilities was to provide authorization for credit card merchants and to authorize the credit card cash advances through the Bank’s branches.
I met regularly with vendors and internal departments to resolve issues on an on-going basis. A lot of effort went into long-term planning to improve performance (availability and response time) and functionality.
The Call Center received calls from customers related to ATM and POS. I was working for the Call Center Support Unit. The unit was responsible for merchant and vendor relationships and provided active support to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
The Support Unit had the responsibility of ensuring that the Call Center was functioning properly and according to established procedure.
