I am an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) working as Assistant Manager at A.F.Ferguson & Co. Chartered Accountants (a member firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers network) since Dec-2008.
I have been given the role of Project Manager, Team Lead, Job In-charge responsible for various Accounting, Internal Control, ERP Implementation, Business Process Reengineering and special assignments at various clients.
Efficient working skills under stressed conditions and completion of assigned tasks within the allotted deadlines, efficient team and time management skills, maintaining best working relationship with clients and team members are the hallmarks of my professional career.
As project Manager I have been responsible for performing Accounting, internal auditing, Business Process Reengineering, ERP implementation and other accounting & Financial assignments. Meeting Project deadlines and maintaining higher standards of quality have been hallmarks of my career.
Following were my main responsibilities in capacity of team lead and project manager:
• Performed reviews of accounting and internal control systems, identified weaknesses in their design and operation and recommended improvements including the design and development of completely new system. Definition and detail design of the solution to be implemented;
• AS IS study and documentation including policies, processes and Business Processes Engineering and Gap Analysis;
• System study and Business Systems design and implementation (Oracle Financials, Supply Chain Management, Oracle Hyperion budgeting and planning) in accordance with applicable business model and financial framework;
• Designing and implementation of customized modules specific to business requirement and designing interfacing between Oracle and other core systems of client keeping integral controls;
• Management and supervision of team members and review of their work and strengthening of cordial relationship with client’s personnel including CEO’s and Managing Directors to lower hierarchy management;
• Designing and implementing security and control solutions within the ERP environment;
• Reviewing the ERP security environment, including critical access and segregation of duty design;
• Preparation of Functional Design Documents;

Engaged in numerous assignments of Advisory Business & Assurance Services (ABAS). These include full scope audits, limited (half yearly and quarterly) reviews, and special assignments in accordance with the regulatory requirements. Job responsibilities and the key tasks performed in the ABAS Division are as follows:
• Initial planning of audit involving application of PWC Audit methodology;
• Assessment of control risk and designing tests of controls for specific areas in consultation with the engagement manager;
• Designing substantive procedures in consultation with the engagement manager;
• Performing test of controls and substantive procedures highlighting issues / inconsistencies;
• Discussions various accounting or other issues / inconsistencies identified during the assignment with the client;
• Reviewing work done by the team members and getting it reviewed by the engagement manager and partner;
• Extensive application of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Auditing Standards in preparation of financial statements in compliance therewith; and
• Preparation of deliverables, such as management letters identifying control weaknesses, its implications and recommendations thereon, and verifying compliance with various laws relating to the client
