Air Quality Section Head

§ Provides technical advice and recommendations to execute the overall air quality monitoring program requirements including sampling, testing and interpretations of data and reporting.
§  Review and evaluate all required technical reports and studies (such as environmental impact studies and self-monitoring report).
§  Assist and develop the existing air quality monitoring program to ensure its in line with international requirements
§  Conducting field inspections to ensure the compliance of industries with the authorities standards and regulations
§  Evaluate industries pretest plan / SOW for stack testing and fugitive emission.
§  Witness the stack testing and fugitive emission tests that to be conducted by authorities approved consultants to ensure their compliance with the authorities requirements
§  Participates in periodic revision of authorities Environmental regulations and standards and implement the same in line with Kingdom’s laws, international regulations and standards and best practices.
§  Evaluate the operation of various pollution control systems installed by industries; monitors and resolves issues relating to environmental monitoring management.
§  Prepare technical reports on the status of air quality and meteorological findings at the city, establish a chronological order of quality and advises management of reasons for trends in decline or improvement
§ Evaluates the impact of air source pollution on ambient air based on stack testing results/calculation and air ambient monitoring.
§ Wide relevant experience in the field of Air pollution and environmental Monitoring.
§  Knowledge of US-EPA and EU regulations and standards and safety and environment
§  Knowledge of US-EPA stack testing methods and fugitive emission tests
§ Knowledge of Unified Work Permit System (Authorized to sign the Cold, Hot, Electrical Confined Space Entry, Radiation Work permits) and LOTO & Equipment Isolation Certification Time, Lifting, Excavation, Vehicle Movement Certificates).
§ Breakdown of the JOB SAFETY ANALYSIS (JSA) to an enough steps to conduct JSA.

Since 2003 : Experience as an Atmospheric Pollution Senior Engineer in Atmospheric Pollution section in the Environment Control and Monitoring Department at the National Agency for Environmental Protection of Tunis - Tunisia.
- Technical Management of National Air Quality Monitoring Network: Proceeding of Preventive & Curative maintenance of permanent and mobile station.
- From 2008 to 2016: experience as an Project Manager in order to work out the detail of the project “Strengthening Air Monitoring Capacity in Tunisia” and to achieve the Project objectives of Construction of ozone monitoring network to improve air quality in major cities and coastal areas of Tunisia.

-From 2011 to 2014: experience as an Project Manager in order to work out the detail of the project “Management of the urban and industrial environment in the field of the air quality” and to achieve the Project objectives of Construction of air quality monitoring stations and to improve air quality in Tunisia.

- Handling of management software of network of National Central Post.
- Treatment of results on actual computer system of acquiring data which links all permanent stations of air quality monitoring, (Supervision of data, configuration of measuring stations, follow up of gauging apparatus, data validation, execution of calculation, elaboration of reports …).
- Good expertise of air quality, technical validation & interpretation, of data issuing from permanent stations of National Air Quality Monitoring Network, Elaboration of monthly sheet of information on air quality in Tunisia and annual report.
- Contribution with network technicians in order to find possible solutions for analyzers failure of permanent stations and connection failure of acquisition measures stations.
- Good knowledge of instrumentation intended for atmospheric pollution measuring, in meteorology, quality insurance and in programming of campaigns air quality measure.
- Familiarization of dispersion modelling software and summarizing and interpreting the air quality and meteorological data of pollution cartography.
