• Responsible for day to day maintenance activities for all control systems including but not limited to DCS (Honeywell Experion EPKS, C-300, C-200, & TPS), Emergency Shutdown System ESD (Honeywell FSC, Safety Manager, Triconex, ), Fire & Gas system, Radar Tank Gauging system & SCADA systems.
• Carry out system troubleshooting & fault finding techniques to ensure safe and reliable operation for the whole plant
• Maintain the process control system to ensure high availability at optimum cost and minimum disruption to operations.
• Continuous monitoring of preventive maintenance programs of process control systems.
• Supervise, develop & train automation staff on new methods and procedures.
• Provides technical support to customers and Service Engineers on Honeywell system problems.
• Advises customer and project teams on site preparation and layout prior to installation
• Performs site acceptance tests, commissioning & start up for DCS & ESD systems.
• Modifies configuration and updates relevant documentation
• Assists technical sales representatives in product and equipment set ups demonstrations and presentations
• Design, Engineering & Commissioning of Triconex TMR Safety PLC of Tricon for ESD & Fire & Gas Applications in Oil & Gas Sectors. Prepare Comprehensive Control System Packages by interacting with the Client and Contractors to design new projects and upgrades of SIS (Safety Instrumented Systems).
• Implementation of the System Configuration Parameters as per Project Scope of work, Configuring the Logics/ C&E through the Function Block Diagrams, SOE Configuration, Configuration of System Diagnostics and Troubleshooting of the system through software tools.
• Provides technical support in sales presentations
• Handled the following projects with Invensys :
- Methanol Casal Plant (Russia)
- Total La Mede Refinery Alarms Configurations (France)
• Responsible for smooth and safe operation for all Field instruments, DCS System (ABB Elsage Bailey Symphony) and ESD System (Triconex & Siemens) for the whole complex.
• Work closely with Operation Division personnel in order to ensure understanding of problems and solutions to the DCS and PLC associated Instrument Systems.
• Participated in the pre commissioning, Commissioning & Startup phases for the whole complex with Technip Italy as main contractor & UOP as Licensor.
• Full contribution in the Advanced process control system project Implemented with Multi Variable Predictive Controller (DMC plus), responsible of APC system maintenance after commissioning.
