• Driver Management & Training: Hire and train drivers, ensuring they are well-trained in safe driving,
emergency protocols, and patient transport procedures. Monitor their performance.
• Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of vehicle usage, maintenance, and repairs.
Generate reports to track costs, performance, and compliance.
• Inventory & Supply Management: Manage the inventory of vehicle-related supplies and medical
equipment, ensuring vehicles are properly stocked.
• Emergency & Contingency Planning: Develop plans for vehicle breakdowns or emergencies, ensuring
alternative transport options are available when necessary.
• Communication & Coordination: Work closely with other hospital departments to coordinate
transportation needs and address urgent or unexpected requirements.
• Sustainability & Environmental Initiatives: Explore environmentally sustainable options for the fleet,
such as electric vehicles, and implement eco-friendly practices where possible.
