Roles & Responsibilities
Engineering and Projects Managements Activities:
Assist the technical service and engineering manager to drive engineering excellence in all assigned projects and provides engineering support across electrical activities at onshore and offshore jetty terminal
Provide all the required assistant and technical support to other engineering disciplines to achieve the optimum operation, design and execution of projects
Response for all electrical new plant changes CR, MOC and projects
Prepare FEED, feasibility, engineering study and prepare electrical scope of work SOW for all new projects, change requests, site modification and MOC
Prepare conceptual design which including and not limited to HV/LV Switchgears, cables selection, lighting, protection system, earthing, lightening, cathodic protection, cables trays, cable glands selection, short circuit, hazard area classification equipments, control panels and power panels
Technical review, comment and amend of all electrical EPC deliverables by contractors and monitoring the electrical design philosophy to ensure electrical engineering systems design is in compliance with recognized standards and basic engineering design
Prepare work schedule and execution plan related to each project or MOC and support the projects team in the evaluation of project progress, man power, HSSE and quality control
Monitoring the project execution activities and help through job safety analysis JSA, work permits PTW and tool box talk TBT
Evaluation of implemented activities for any technical or HSSE deviations and guide the contractor team to align with the projects specification
Provide all the required support to solve any technical issue during the construction, and make sure that this solution align with projects specification and standard
Prepare and supervise the execution of the pre-commission, commissioning and start-up of electrical loads related to all projects / MOC
Review and supervise the electrical installation in hazards areas according to the area classifications of the ELNG plant
Review final projects documentation and update the EDMS available revisions
Prepare electrical maintenance schedule and update the work maintenance instructions (WMI) of the electrical equipment to achieve the most reliable operation and maintenance
Follow up the operation and maintenance of ELNG power house of gas turbo generators GTGs, Diesel Generators, UPS and battery charger
Prepare and supervise the implementing of the predictive maintenance plan for all electrical loads / systems
Define the KPI of the electrical systems and the safety critical elements maintenance strategies
Purchasing requests PR preparation, spare parts system supervision, Bids preparation and cost estimations for all project/MOC
Annual budget, Capex and Opex preparation
Introduce the required training service for ELNG staff and contractors and supervise the competency assurance management system progress for all electrical staff
Reliability and safety Activities
Compile electrical equipment performance report and submit monthly report on electrical equipment performance such as mean time between failure of motor, schedule inspection compliance, availability, etc.
Use RCM techniques to achieve the most reliable operation and maintenance excellency of electrical equipment
Participate in failure investigation of all electrical equipment; Power generators, switchgear panels, motors, cathodic protection system, etc.
Prepare root cause failure report RCFA for electrical equipment failures
Participate in hazard identifications and operability studies HAZID and HAZOP
Roles & Responsibilities
Apply the predictive maintenance PDM and inspection activities within the Engineering and Technical Service division as follow:
Estimate future condition, performance and remaining life of the electrical assets according to the collected data and the past history of each asset
Perform the calibration and the function test for micro possessor based protection relays of 400Vac, 3300Vac and 11000Vac switchgears such as Multilin, REF 504plus, SPAJ, SPAU 130/140 & SPAD
Perform the monthly inspection for cathodic protection impressed and sacrificial system and prepare inspection report with the finding and recommending actions
Perform the repairing of cathodic protection systems faults
Perform IR Thermography inspection for switchgears, UPS, Battery chargers, switchboards, cables compartments etc., and prepare inspection report with the finding and recommending actions
Analyze site data related to Partial discharge measurements and evaluate the risk if found
Analyze the reports of oil break down voltage and dissolved gas tests for each transformer and prepare performance report with the finding and recommending actions
Perform the technical data analysis and diagnosis using Megger Proactive software for the lead acid batteries measurements Impedance, voltage, temperature and strap resistance and prepare inspection report and maintenance work order with the finding and recommending actions
Apply the electrical maintenance and installation activities within the maintenance division as follow:
Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Activities
• AC motors (induction and synchronous) 400, 6600 and 11000 VAC
• Variable speed drive of bridge crane
• Oil filled transformers
• UPS and Battery chargers panels
• Inspection of NiCa batteries, Cathodic protection and grounding system
• Switchgears control and protection circuits
• Lighting poles and street lighting
Electrical Project Activities
• Implement U/G cable trenches and A/G cable trays systems
• Installation of LV induction motors
• Implement street lighting poles
