Dammam Independent Sewage Treatment Plant (ISTP). The project is the first ISTP to be awarded by the Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) to investors under a Build- Own- Operate-Transfer (BOOT) model, the consortium which consists of three companies (Orascom, Metito and Mowah) stablished Dammam West Company for Water (DWCW) as a project's company or special purpose Vehicle (SPV) to manage the project. The project is contracted to EPC contractor to carry out (civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation) works includes three years construction and 22 years O&M. The STP capacity is 200, 000 m3/d (peak 320000 m3/d) with future additional stage of 150000 m3/d. the project consists of:
1- All needed structural works (inlet headworks structure, balancing tank, primary clarifiers, biological reactors tanks, secondary clarifiers, Fenton reaction tank, chlorination contact tank, an aerobic digesters, digested sludge tanks, solar drying building, distribution chambers..etc)
2- Electromechanical works (mechanical screens, different types of pumps, scrubbers, diffusers, blowers, mixers, disc filters, belt filters, centrifuge thickeners, generators, substations (RMU’s), MCC’s with all cabling & wirings
3- Instrumentation and control works (all instrumentations and control system using SCADA and PLC’s)

Delegated by Artelia to represent the owner DWCW to cover the role of Sr. Project Manager & Technical Director reporting directly to the Executive Manager (EM), Hayder was entitled to:
1. Represents DWCW regarding the coordination between the owner and different stakeholders in technical subjects
2. Heads the site technical team to follow up the technical submittals (shop drawings and construction materials)
3. Lead the Site team to monitor the different work activities (civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation) carried out by EPC contractor
4. Coordinates with owner’s engineer regarding the design submittals and issues
5. Follows up/reports the work progress at site
6. Reviews/approves/follows up the contractor HSE & QC plans and other relevant submittals
7. Interviews/approves the new senior technical staff
8. Participates in preparing the payments to the client
9. Chairing the meeting with EPC contractor
10. Participates/prepares meeting with other stakeholders

The Project owned by National Water Company (NWC), was consisting of two subprojects:
Project #1: Design & Build of medium voltage pump-station of 56 MLD with 15km/1000mm, 1200mm, 1400mm transmission pipelines.
Project #2: Design & Build of four strategic steel reservoirs of total capacity of 560, 000m3.
Acting as Consultant’s Project Manager, Hayder was entitled to:
 Setting the project’s supervision team and resources
 Acting as a point of contact between different stakeholders.
 Acting as technical advisor for the client, and reporting to the client about any project’s issue, suggesting solutions for technical and contractual problems.
 Reviewing and be well versed with all details of contract documents, including client’s requirements/project Scope, terms & conditions, design criteria, design drawings, approved standards, BoQ, addendums and any other relevant documents.
 Check and be fully aware about all works activities, sites nature, work environment, probable obstructions and risks…etc.

Hayder has successfully led the team to perfectly carry out all tasks assigned to them, through the full awareness of client’s requirement and thorough understanding of technical specification and contract’s terms and conditions, which led to the revocation of many variation claims requested by the contractors with total value of SAR15 millions, and has been rejected for their invalidity by the consultant in accordance with the contract’s terms. Furthermore, the consultant team have modified some works that cut the cost, by SAR1.5 million, particularly via the modification of pipelines routes and arrangements. Accordingly, the project’s team accomplished the closure of that vital project as per the scope and within time, cost and quality requirements and perfect EHS performance with zero Lost Time Injury LTI.

 Review and negotiate the contract’s terms & conditions.
 Leading the design team in the works that required to carryout the design by ELNITCO, like pump stations and pipelines.
 Oversee the preparation and implementation of EHS plan, QC plans, time management plan (Schedule), resource management plan (Mobilization/Demobilization), procurement plan, communication plan…etc, in accordance with contract’s terms and conditions.
 Prepare risk assessment, train the staff on how to asses risks and prevent, avoid or mitigate it.

- In Addition, Hayder participated, as a key member, in the negotiation team who negotiated with the client about Elnitco’s claim to increase the contract's rates, according to the inflation index, as indicated in the contract documents. Elnitco succeeded to get variation order by increasing all contract’s rates by 25%, at the same time Elnitco got an extension of time for two years, which was considered a great success for the negotiation team.

Project: Design, Construction, Operation & Maintenance of Petra Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), Lifting Stations and Sewerage System
As a project manager, representing the client Ministry of Water & Irrigation (MWI), Hayder was entitled to oversee and resolve all issues related to the project throughout its cycles from start up to successful close out, including, but is not limited to; design review and approval, contract documents review, monitoring the time schedule and milestones, approving and ensuring the implementation of EHS plans, payments approval, communicating with other stakeholders, chairing all meetings, attending testing & commissioning procedures, approving (PAC), taking-over procedures and (FAC). Hayder led a team of 15 engineers and technicians to overcome all obstacles, accordingly, they as a project team achieved the successful closing of that project as per the scope, and within cost, time and quality, and perfect EHS performance with Zero LTI.
During O&M phase, Hayder led the project’s team to run the WWTP (Capacity in 50 MLD) efficiently, by lowering the O&M cost through the utilization of available technology and tools, like CMMS program which is efficiently tracking the resources (manpower, materials, equipments, store ..etc), and getting high quality of treated water, also, he led the campaign to increase public awareness about the value of treated wastewater for irrigation purposes, which enhanced the reuse of treated wastewater in agriculture, particularly for fodder production.

As a Process / O&M engineer for Drainage System and Wastewater Treatment Plant / Ma’an city, Hayder was one of the team members who were supervising the construction activities for new extension of Ma’an WWTP and sewerage systems, house connections, including the review of design and other submittals like drawings, Methods of Statements (MoS’s), and materials submittals, Material Inspection Reports (MIR’s), Work Inspection Reports (WIR’s), issuing Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s), Permit To Work (PTW’s), work progress and reporting to his managers, jointly with his colleagues, Hayder attended all testing, commissioning and taking over procedures. He continued to work in the same WWTP as plant manager, leading the team to perform the tasks of the plant O&M including process control, maintenance tasks, coordination with stakeholders, overseeing quality tests, managing the different resources and approving the reports and timesheets.
