• Management of all infectious diseases including bacterial, , viral, fungal and parasitic infections, chronic hepatitis C and B infections, HIV infection in immunocomromized host (bone marrow transplant, oncology patients, patients receiving immunosuppressive therapy), infections in Critical Care Units
• Advising surgeon of a patient's risk status and recommend appropriate intervention to minimize risk.
• Conducting research to develop or test medications, treatments, or procedures to prevent or control disease or injury.
• Directing and coordinating activities of nurses, students, assistants, and other medical staff.
• Planning, implementing, or administering health programs in hospitals, or communities for prevention and treatment of injuries or illnesses.
