Seema Bagaria is a Textile Designer in Bangalore who, along with Archana Kanoria owns “Iksenya”, a design studio specializing mainly in fashion. They have been in the light for almost ten years.

The areas of interest are complex weaves and sarees from Bengal, embroidery, print which are usually shown in their Indian and Western wear mainly for women. Iksenya’s designs have been showcased at stores like Ffolio (bangalore), Kimaya (Chennai) and also in Calcutta. Their designs,
specially bridal wear, have gained popularity among the modern women because of their innovative and contemporary patterns and use of color.


Job Entailed:
• Design, technical translation of garment and assist in patterns construction to create sample garments.
• To select fabrics and notions and create textile design patterns
• To combine basic dress making, tailoring flat pattern work and draping techniques to adapt in a garment design.
• To fit and modify finished garments.
• To arrange shows for press & buyers when sample garment line is ready.
• To compare merchandise with other competitors.
