Responsibilities:
1- Oversee the workflow to identify and address errors and omissions during the in-house
screening process so as to take corrective or proactive actions to avoid future cases.
2- Organize the work cycle according to the required targets to guarantee the targets
attainment in accordance with the team annual objectives.

3- Discover areas of developments in the work cycle or in the human resources and take the
required measures to provide the needed resources, training or optimization so as to achieve
the utmost efficiency.
4- Drive continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management
process and best practices in the reporting teams.
5- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the reporting teams so as to make sure the work
quality and quantity are up to the set standards, and in accordance with the team’s objective,
on one side, and the company’s goals and objectives on the other side.
6- Work on educating the team leaders about the global business environment, and the
organization’s strategic goals and objectives.

1- Ensure that the subject matter of a manuscript falls within the scope of the journal’s coverage.
2- Ensure that the type of the manuscript best fits its scientific content and the type is acceptable in the journal.
3- Perform rigorous searches to make sure that the manuscript has neither been published elsewhere, nor is under review elsewhere.
4- Ensure that a manuscript has not been plagiarized from other manuscripts, whether published or unpublished.
5- Review the manuscripts’ references to detect any potential citation manipulation i.e. whether the purpose of them is to increase the number of citations to a given author’s work or to articles published in a particular journal.
6- Search authors’ history to make sure that there are no sanctions preventing them from submitting their manuscripts to the journal.
7- Carry out a rigorous search to make sure that authors were not involved in any unethical misconduct.
8- Review the manuscripts’ files (Main PDF, Cover Letter, and Supplementary Material) to confirm that there are no missing items and that they are suitable to enter the review process.
9- Take the proper action on screened manuscripts whether by approving, rejecting, or transferring them to a more appropriate journal.
10 - Communicate all decisions to the editorial staff in order to take the proper action with the authors/editors.
