Role Overview: based in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire and regularly visiting operations and projects sites my roles is to design or redesign the organisation as a whole and design and if necessary customize the organisational developments as their needs arise.
I am also achieving the search and recruitment of high-level talents and potentials and the conception, design and implementation of talent development and retention strategies, leadership development initiatives and performance management systems and compensation and rewards systems across the board.

Achievements:
As a specific Optimization Consultant and HR Advisor to the Project Team and Management Team of SMI (Societe des Mines d'Ity) I assured and completed the transition from heap leach to CIL in optimized social, societal and performance conditions (0 strike, 0 LTI, project completed ahead of target and below budget).
I redesigned the operational organisation of the company (from COO and below) with specific attention to the organisation and strategic objectives of Technical Services and the localization of high-potentials (the localization of the HR Network, mainly HR Managers, is now fully completed).
I recruited several high-level executives (HoDs of a new entity) for the ramp-up of the new SMI CIL.

Production of 30, 000 barrels of crude oil per day, with an objective of 35, 000 in 2017, turn-over 800, 000 euro, 1, 000 employees.
Role overview:
I serve as global HR consultant, reporting to Company CEO, for the organization as a whole and as HR Director for Maurel & Prom Gabon.
My role is to redesign and implement the Organizational Structure (global, corporate and specific to Maurel & Prom Gabon), the Rewards and Compensation and Benefits policy and system and to design and create from scratch a Performance Management and a Talent Management systems, engage the stakeholders and implement them all across the board.
It is also to implement from scratch the SAGE HRM Pay and HR Information System to full operation and to review and change the HR Structure (Corporate and Operations) and redesign and implement new HR systems, policies and procedures in Maurel & Prom Gabon.

Achievements:
An analysis and a diagnosis of the lack of HR performance in Maurel & Prom Gabon was achieved and delivered in 3 months.
A new organization and an action plan to enhance the HR performance in Maurel & Prom Gabon was implemented in 2015, including comprehensive review of all training, talent acquisition and retention activities and strong leadership development program for the years 2016/2017.
The performance management system was reviewed and redesigned for full implementation in 2016.

- Redesign and implement the Organizational Structure (global, corporate and in the operational BUs), the rewards and compensation and benefits policy and system and design and create from scratch a performance management system and implement them all across the board
- Implement from scratch the SAP HCM HR Information System
- Change the HR Structure (Corporate and Operations) and create an HR Centre of Excellence in the London Corporate Office

The redesign was completed in only 6 months and the implementation is on-going. The HRIS is going live after only 6 months design, tests and validation by the provider.
As a result of the Centre of Excellence being active, an estimate of 300, 000 GBP per month has been saved in recruiting for the Corporate Structures and the BUs since January 2013.

SMD Lefa Gold Mine was very recently taken over by Nordgold and I was hired in this occurrence to completely restart the HR and Administration activities in line with Nordgold standards.

Mission:

- Redesign all the HR and Administration structure, organization, policies and procedures, align them to Nordgold and Severstal ones and implement them across SMD Lefa.
- Redesign and implement new contracts for expatriates, in line and in compliance with Guinean requirements and regulations.
- Reduce the existing staff by 30% (Expatriates and locals).
- Change the management team and recruit new managers (all levels, all disciplines) overseas and in Guinea.
- Implement a strong Training Programme and Plan for local workforce at all levels, including the introduction of simulators for heavy equipment operators and “rehabilitation cognitive” for illiterate workers.
- Design and implement a long term sustainable community development programme, including an agricultural development programme towards all the surrounding communities.
