Upper Egypt is investment company specialist in construction and real state development and building tourism projects. I am as shareholder and member of the board and general manager, managing the company and reporting to the chairman of the board.
MCR is specialist in developing and tailoring integrated computer software systems and solutions for the Saudi government and the large corporations in the Saudi market and gulf country. Due to the high cost and expenditure of the software development in Saudi market and the tough challenging competition we moved MCR software development unit to Cairo, Egypt and left the sales and support units in Saudi. My job was to develop Cairo office tightly with the needs of sales force in Saudi market.
I was chosen to develop a new strategic approach and effective way to help the eastern region branch reach its goal in today’s complex environment. As the customers have begun to realize that the box is useless without the software and that having different parties supply different solution components is risky. More and more, customers require that one party stand behind the entire solution, and I believed that "The party provides the software solution holds the keys to success." My goal was to reform the region to satisfy the total system requirements of today’s consumer. By seriously provide unified, comprehensive and integrated plan, which seeks to make the best use of our organization resources, to gain competitive advantage and to achieve our goals and the entire team should be more professionals and adapt the consulting approach. This was thoroughly far more rewarding than simply taking orders or pushing boxes.
In-charge of overall Apple Computer® business in the kingdom. To reset a professional Apple total solution services. Consist of hardware and software sales, consulting, training, technical support and maintenance service, and to reconstruct the sales and dealers channels to kill the gray market, and rebuilding Apple image in the marketplace.
The last few years have been relatively tough ones for the computer hardware and software industries. Technologies have changed, competitors have changed and distribution channels have changed dramatically. Consumers are smarter, and as the general level of knowledge rises in marketplace, it becomes tougher and tougher to market products solely on a brand name. It was necessary to re-engineer the Apple Computer® operation in the kingdom, Riyadh House Est. as the largest company in the Jeraisy Group took the meager responsibility for marketing Apple computer products across the Kingdom through our 2, 200 employees and 35 branches and showrooms. My responsibility is to set and maintain strategic overall plan to develop the entire operation across the kingdom, involved in all aspects of marketing, sales and pricing.
Responsible for setting up the company, including feasibility study and deciding upon the appropriate suitable Hardware and software needed, Hiring and train the required staff. Developing a market share out of the existing market share already going to London and Singapore. SCANGRAFX specialized advertisement service bureau for graphic arts, colors separation and computer animations.
Setting up the first Apple Center in Saudi Arabia following a new concept of Apple computer® International. (A complete new idea in the Gulf area.) Developing staff skills according to the new concept standards and overall responsibility to provide the customers with the best and most convenient way to buy, to be trained, to be supported and to receive service. Al-Shark Al-Arabi Group specialized in an "Apple computer solution." The center was profitably sold to a large investor with a great profit.
Responsible of the Sales department, to promotes the sales activity, to develop professional service standard and to enhance the market share, while the owner took care of the technical part. MicroLand specialized as an "Apple computer solution."
Managing the Microcomputer department in Central region (RIYADH) To promote the sales activity, to develop professional service standard and to enhance the market share. JCS specialized in a "total computer solution, _ representing several major international manufacturers, Apple, VICTOR, WANG, N.A.S. and much more. Microcomputer department past situation was, low revenue (3.5 M), no sales programs and unstable strategy. In less than a year, the situation improved more than double the revenue (7.5 M) with a very fast growth in professional service standard, and through the second year, the revenue doubled again (14.5 M), with a superior name in the market. My 1989 business plan objective was to achieve (38 M). There for it was no doubt to have a new structure by separating the micro department into 3 departments (Apple, PCs and Showrooms). In FEB 1989, I became Apple manger for the Central region (RIYADH), which became the best region in the kingdom. In JUN. 1989, I have been transferred as Apple manger for the Western region (JEDDAH), to enhance the situation there. In MAY 1990 Apple computer department separated under a new company called Jeraisy Tech Est. and I became the Western region (JEDDAH) Apple Center manger.
Responsible of the computer department to promote Hardware sales, develop sales staff capability, plan marketing strategy, develop a unique Arabic & Latin Software library, deal with distributors and sub-dealers, and third party purchasing negotiations. Continental Najjar specialized in office equipment (Typewriters, Photocopiers, Calculators, Duplicators, Safes) and it has established the system division including Banking Security System department, Microfilm department, Kardex department and the Computer department as an Authorized Dealer for NCR Micro Computer in Egypt.
Setup the factory including the feasibility studies, Control and develops the production quality and quantity, sales promotion and developing export markets. The corporation specialized in producing abrasive; grinding and cutting flex wheels for metals and stones.
Taken care of my old Middle East clients as a commercial representative in United States, including Purchase negotiations, contractual responsibilities, commercial consultations and industrial project feasibility studies.
Lead and managed the office staff, Sales policy, contract negotiations, and capital movement. The office specialized in Import of Electrical equipment (diesel generator sets), Industrial Machinery and equipment (Stapler and Nailers), Safety and emergency equipment, Hotels equipment, Food and Beverage, and Toys.
Responsible to develop new markets, sales promotions, dealing with distributors, develop advertisement policy, and market research. The office specialized in Import of: Prefabricated products (Swimming pools), Heating systems (Boilers and Heaters), Construction and decorating supplies and equipment, and Furniture. And Export of: jasmine essence.
Acting as the main link between the office sub-contractors and our customers. Commissioning the sub-contractors works to pay them and than collect our cost & fees from the customer accordingly. The office was the most prestigious decoration office in Cairo, Egypt.
