During my first year I was assigned as quality control Engineer for the grout plug, anchors and piling activity in Kempinski Hotel Jeddah,
Job included daily program of works, preparing the work analysis and the daily report along with the monthly report. Testing material and works to make sure they comply with the specifications.
Last six months I was assigned to the tender department where I had to prepare an estimate of the labor hours, material quantities, equipment needed on the project. estimate the productivity and prepare a preliminary schedule.
I was assigned for a short period to conduct preliminary shoring design for projects under study when the engineering department was overloaded.
The Project (approximate USD 56 M) designed to be built to the highest standards of quality, comfort and refinement. It consists of 42 stories surrounded by over 3, 500 m2 of lush gardens and landscaped areas, along with water features. The Project will accommodate a first class health club and fitness center, including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna and steam rooms.
Accomplishments: changed the weekly safety checklist and introduced the idea along with the presentations or safety practices. QA/QC and working on improving a web based project management system developed by the company.
The building is divided into 2 entirely independent blocks of 34 floors including swimming pool on the 35th floor, a tennis court and over 4000 square meters of gardens. Each apartment is around 700 square meters with a ceiling height of 4 meters.
Accomplishments: Coordination between client and contractor, job inspection, purchase materials, material delivery inspection, issuing workers payments.
