- Perform routine professional chemical work in the pesticide residue laboratory, including research and methodology development,
to contribute to the analysis of pesticide residues and pesticide product formulations.
- Conduct extractions and testing of various agricultural commodities for pesticide residues.
- Analyse results using GC MS MS and LC MS MS
- Prepare technical reports documenting the results of analyses.
- Complete routine and preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment.
- Use technical resources for self-improvement and for enhancing laboratory operations.
- Complete research and methodology development for difficult or unique pesticide residues or other analytes.
- May troubleshoot and repair instrumentation.
- Assist in training new chemists and other lab personnel when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
