Responsible for managing the compensation and benefits related activities including research, development and administration to provide highly competitive remuneration and reward aligned to the market trends. In addition I am also responsible for all HR operations related activities.

• Reviewed the remuneration structure for 2019 and developed a remuneration strategy to the Board remuneration committee.
• Carried out the annual benchmarking survey with Korn Ferry.
• Analysed market data, various scenario planning to ensure the developed remuneration strategy is in line with the market trends.
• Managed payroll inputs and benefits including travel, education, housing, medical & life insurance, EOSG and pension.
• Prepared the 2020 forecasted payroll budget for the Board.
• Negotiated the annual corporate medical & life insurance policies.
• Managed the medical insurance renewal process to ensure compliance with DHA regulations.
• Reviewed & implemented policies in accordance with the new DIFC employment Law.
• Managed the employee performance management cycle for 2019.
• Managed the absence management for the organization to ensure compliance with DFSA policy.

* Ensured alignment of Medical & Life insurance benefits between RBS Plc & RBS NV staff.

Change Management
* Conducted HR due diligence and organizational integration of business acquisitions, divestments & sell-off, as well as support for people impacts of business change activities.
* Managed the HR related activities of the divestment of the RBS retail business in 2010. Was responsible for the HR balance
sheet, and separated the Non-Core HR balance sheet which was required to be moved to ADCB as part of the Asset & Liability sale.
* Developed & implemented various controls as per the RBS global standards encompassing critical HR processes and conducted assurance testing on periodic basis to ensure effectiveness.


HR Projects
* Lean project: The project is to make the HR activities more effective & leaner. Process mapping, cross skilling within the HR
department, moving out Non HR activities, eliminating waste, new soft records/HR shared drive structure etc are some of the
highlights of this project.
* Project Unicorn: A global project to Merge RBS NV & RBS Plc employees into RBS Plc. This was implemented in UAE in Dec
2012
* Restructuring & redundancy programs: Involved in many such projects since the economic down turn in late 2008. Managing exit process, Settlement agreements, Cost & savings projections, MI reporting etc. are the main tasks involved.
* Accomplished a new payroll system “ePayroll” in 2011 to automate payroll processing and MI reporting.
* RBS Country closure: Represented HR in various project work streams involved in the wind-down of RBS operations in MEA
region.

HR risk & control
* Good understanding of the UAE/DIFC/QFC Labor Law and relevant compliance policies and procedures.
* Developed & implemented various controls as per the RBS global standards encompassing critical HR processes and conducted assurance testing on periodic basis to ensure effectiveness.
* Successfully managed the annual external financial audit for the HR related activities.
* Conducted annual risk assessment of significant HR processes as part of global “Conduct Risk” policy and partnered with the
“Business Control Manager” to establish key controls.
* Ensured employees across the Hub complied with the “Consecutive Leave” policy.
* Set up strategic partnership with background screening vendor to conduct an “Enhanced Employment Screening” process for
registered & regulated individuals with Central bank, DFSA & QFCRA.

Employee relations and engagement
* Ensured employees are treated fairly and equitably.
* Resolved employee relations issues and supported termination planning and execution and outplacement counseling.
* Facilitated employee L&D initiatives.
* Managed the employee on-boarding and exit processes.
* Facilitated the RBS Global employee survey for UAE and have ensured 100% employee participation.
