To plan, direct, supervise and coordinate all Maintenance activities on electrical equipment, troubleshoot complex electrical problems and supervise senior electrical technicians, technicians and contractor staff in the assigned area.
Ensure availability of tools, spares and consumables for all the activities in the assigned area.
Review the periodic & shutdown work plans and integrate activities with other sections for their execution.
To carry out detailed engineering, prepare scope of work & technical evaluation for extra ordinary maintenance (EOM) and major maintenance (MM) activities.
To approve work orders, material issue requests, initiate purchase requisition (PR), prepare proposals for stock (PFS) and ensure updating of equipment history profile in Maximo.
To compile/provide input for preparation of division/department Capital, Operating and 5 Year Plan budgets, and monitor/control expenditure.
To prepare method statements for critical jobs, verify electrical procedures and instructions, plus scope of work for contract jobs and service work orders.
To investigate and prepare Non Conformance and Incident Reports (NCR).
To perform High Voltage switching activities.
To verify the updated drawings, carryout review of electrical procedures & instructions and assist for the maintenance of documentation system.
To ensure development & implementation of Competency Based Training & Development programs, through use of Personal Development Plans (PDP’s) and UAE Nationalization directives.
To continuously improve the quality of data input into the Maximo system, so as to ensure retrieval of quality information.
To ensure the availability and reliability of electrical system/equipment, in view of equipment age, obsolescence and diverse range of manufacturers.
To integrate new facility installations with existing electrical systems, commission and tie-in with the existing electrical network, considering the unknown performance characteristics of the integrated system and equipment.
Operation & Maintenance of all Turbo machineries & Power generation equipments (Gas turbines, gas compressors, Emergency diesel generators)
Planning & Scheduling the Preventive Maintenance & Long duration shutdowns.
Inventory Maintenance at the offshore platform.
Working with PM and Inventory modules on SAP.
Leading the Implementation of Safety based programmes (Behaviour based Safety, BBS) at the platform. Designated as Chairman of the steering committee.
Execution of modification schemes at the platform & acting as projects interface.
Competency assessment, Training arrangement and contact programmes for operators and new joinees.
Designing machinery layouts and managing activities pertaining to erection and commissioning of a wide range of machinery & equipments.
Performing the functions of troubleshooting and predictive / preventive / shutdown maintenance for reducing machinery downtime improve availability of the same.
Implementing systems, processes and procedures to facilitate smooth functioning of overall production operations and enhance operational efficiency.
Analysing various processes / applications and recommending process modifications and equipment calibrations to enhance operational efficiency.
Conducting Root Cause & Field Failure Analysis to detect and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring maximum efficiency in plant operations.
Industrial training programme development, evaluation & analysis of the same.
Spot check evaluation of OJTs & certification.
Competency assessment, Training arrangement and contact programmes for operators and new joinees.

• Supervise day to day electrical and instruments maintenance at platform.
• Plan the maintenance activity for the instruments. Reduce the shutdown time through root cause analysis for instrument failure
• Devise, Schedule and implement annual maintenance schedules in a cost effective and safe manner to enhance the productivity of the plant significantly by increasing the life of the equipment and ensuring continuous operation of the plant
• Plan manpower, material for major equipment/platform shutdowns and for projects related to CRS/plant modifications.
• Adhere to safety & environment standards as per company policy. Ensure that all HSSE critical systems are available most of the time and they are regularly inspected
• Ensure all the operations are carried out in the plant as per the company recommended standard operating procedures and policies. Review standard operating procedures, Task Risk assessment and permit to work (PTW) systems.
• Monitor/supervise the contracts and the contracts personnel.
• Implement modification or up gradation of the instrumentation system by conducting feasibility studies
• Perform economic evaluation of existing and potential new control systems
& eliminate deficiencies.
• Coordinate with C&P for critical pending orders and ensure availability of required material at required time.
• Liaise with vendor representatives and contractor employees for safe and effective execution of job.
• Should be able to develop equipment & operating procedure.

FIRE & GAS detection system.
Generator & Transformer protection relay module (GE multiline & ABB).
Transformers, Switch Gears & Protection up to 11KV.
Maintenance of Galley& Laundry equipments on offshore platform.
Process Control & Automation:
PLC & DCS programming, graphics & optimization of parameters.
