Along its length, the Wadi passes through a variety of land uses: natural, agricultural, urban (industrial and residential of varying densities), open recreational areas, restricted military zones, hydrocarbon infrastructure and King Fahd International Stadium. The wadi passes through areas with no resident population and limited human usage through to densely populated residential areas where human interaction is or will be high. Most of the areas along the wadi are classified as either urban or open areas which are lightly inhabited and some locations where agriculture activity is high.
