• Maintain the reliability of field instrument, utilities (Boilers, RO plant, Chiller, Compressor, UPS, MCC&MDB rooms), PLC and DCS control system in the DOW CHEMICAL PLANT and ensure that all the DOW E&I guideline and procedures strictly followed,
• Lead routine maintenance activities, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, plant change ( MOC) in instrument and control system
• Plan, Prepare & Coordinate monthly shut down activities for critical Instrument .
• Responsible for Modification, Installation, Configuration, Calibration & Commissioning of various Pneumatic and Electronic process control instruments such as control valves, temperature, pressure, flow and level instruments (VEGA, Rosemount & E&H Instruments)
• 24-hour on call to support instrument & automation system emergency case
• Coordinate & Perform monthly PPM works generated by SAP according to plant availability and Timely close work orders.
• Follow safe working practice, PTW Procedures, SIF Testing, LOTO Procedures quality & standards
• Strictly follow safe work permit standards, confined space entry, hot works, work at height, isolation of energy source and Line & equipment opening (L&EO) procedure.
• Responsible for all instruments and control Equipment’s breakdowns and its routine Corrective & Preventive maintenance of Process Plant field instruments
• Coordinate with operation department during emergency shutdown and during start up activities.
• Conduct all maintenance work in accordance to the safety procedure, Maintenance plans and plant operational requirements.
• Committed to intervene and report safety Hazardous in the workplace.
• Create, Modify and Document Plant Maintenance procedures, Checklist and Calibration sheets for process plant instruments
• Maintaining tools, spares and housekeeping in work place as per the company standard.
• Review of control philosophy, P&I diagrams, cause & effect diagrams, instruments list, flow chart and I/O list
• Issue Permit and Assist third party contractors, vendors and other outsource service group to work under company safety policies
• Attend monthly safety dialogue program & Participate in PTH(picture the hazard) & BBP(behavior-based performance) programs
• Loop checking and maintenance on various Process control instruments.
• Spares balance investigation and inventory control for all instruments' spare part
• Attend to all equipment breakdowns and planned maintenance work with minimum direction and supervision in GT, ST, Desalination, Demin Plant, Compressor house, SWP, Chlorination Plant, Boilers.
• Effectively repair, fault find and diagnose failures on machinery, appliance and fixtures irrespective of size. Includes all instrumentations like control valves, pressure/temperature/level/flow transmitters, gauges, analyzers, PLCs, and etc. required to run the Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Boilers, Demin Plant.
• Have good exposure to PLC (Allen Bradley’s Control Logix, GE-Fanuc, Siemens, Omron), HMI (Allen Bradley, Proface, Quick PanelView), SCADA systems (GE, Invensys) & VFDs.
• Ensure that all preventive maintenance work is carried out in accordance with the safety procedures and plant operational requirements.
• Monitor any repeated breakdown and takes proper modification to resolve the problem.
• Provide on the job training to new craftsmen in order to equip them with the necessary skills to be able to carry out maintenance repair work as planned.
• Good knowledge in Pressure (PT), Pressure Differential (PDT), Flow (FT), Level (LT), Density (DT) & Temperature Transmitters (TT & TTX).
• Ensured good Safety practices & focuses on suggesting better Energy efficient production.
• Transmitters & Analysers Maintenance: ABB, Emerson Rosemount, Endress Hauser, Hach, Forbes Marshall, Swan, Thermo Fischer Scientific.
