• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare account entries, general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
• Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
• Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
• Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.
• Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
• Analyze and review budgets and expenditures for local, state, and private funding.
• Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
• Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Recommend, develop and maintain financial databases, computer software systems and manual filing systems.
• Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems.
• Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
• Responsible for all areas of the daily accounting operations.
• Supervises, directs, and reviews the work of the accounting staff (including, but not limited to, cash reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, accounts receivable transactions, fixed asset activity, payroll, and accounts payable transactions, debt activity, recording of revenue and expenses, bank reconciliations, ect).
• Preparation of all financial reports, including Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows, as well as the year-end financial reports.
• Cash management (including placement/movement of funds in all company departments).
• Coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
• Produces quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
• Monitoring and managing large budgets.
• Provide timely explanations of variances between actual results and forecasts/budgets; provide corrective action recommendations to management, where necessary.
• Leading, training, and managing other members of the account management team and dealing with any issues that may arise.
• Work with internal and external auditors during reviews and audits to ensure full cooperation from accounting staff and compliance with all qualified requests.
• Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance recording entries.
• Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statement.
• Produces payroll by initiating computer processing; preparing checkes, bank reconciliation.
• Completes external audits by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts, providing to auditors.
• Preparing inventory end of year.
