Duties:
 Leads the Compliance function to ensure the timely and effective provision of high quality
compliance services, advice and guidance to the Bank and its branches.
 Works with the Head of Risk & Compliance Group to develop and implement appropriate best
practice compliance standards and practices.
 Advises the Bank on applicable laws, rules, regulations and codes of practice to ensure
business is conducted in a compliant manner.
 Develops and manages the Bank’s compliance procedures, documentation and monitoring
systems, with responsibility for change management initiatives to enhance the Bank’s
compliance processes.
 Provides strategic and tactical consulting to lines of business and branches on issues related to
compliance.
 Responsible for AML Office Operations.
 Oversees Country Compliance.
 Manages the relationship with and acts as the Bank’s representative to the Central Bank of
Jordan with regards to compliance.
 Directs independent evaluations of compliance processes and procedure effectiveness across
branch network and lines of business.
 Informs, advises and educates business units, senior management, and the Board of Directors
of all compliance responsibilities.
 Institutes appropriate reporting and control processes throughout Bank network.
 Communicates significant issues to Senior Management and makes recommendations when
weaknesses are identified.
 Ensures that adequate anti-money laundering procedures and processes are in place.
 Investigates and reports actual and regulatory breach and proposes remedial action.
 Provides leadership, coaching, and assessment to ensure optimum team and individual
performance in support of department, division, and Bank goals.
 Maintains a cutting edge awareness of regulatory and legislative developments, and industry
