Project: North Gate Mall and Office Buildings, phase 1.
Project Description:
The project consists of a commercial mall and 6 administrative buildings with a total built up area of about 466, 030.66 square meters, with a total cost estimated at about 1600, 00 million Qatari riyals.
The North Gate Mall project is a major new development project on the busy northern road in Doha, the project consists of a shopping center with 280 stores including five major stores, a state-of-the-art Cineplex, and a variety of store types including jewelry, fashion, sports, electronics, and supermarkets. A crystal garden filled with luxury shops and a landscaped terrace with suites and 4000 parking spaces. Imagine that the North Gate is the northern gate of Doha, North Gate aspires to the top of market in Qatar and Middle East.
Responsibility:
- Manage construction supervision team, quality control, hand over and other site operations related to MEP.
- Coordinate with all concerned parties and relevant stakeholders on all construction (and design) issues.
- Attending regular meetings (work progress, coordination, design, etc.) with the client representative, project management, main contractor and subcontractors to discuss all key issues related to the project and effective corrective actions.
- Oversee and monitor Quality Assurance (QA/QC) regarding all technical aspects/ installation of all work for compliance with the plans, specifications, and industry standards.
- Oversee and monitor that all applicable tests and frequent inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures as per local regulations and international standards.
- Monitor concerned authorities (agencies) approvals.
- Oversee and monitor to obtain the building completion certificate.
- Obtain client’s acceptance/ sign-off for the completed project and the closeout procedures.
