Provide direction and management for medium to large sized projects, and ensures on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations. I am responsible for the scope development, scope management and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives.

• Act as the Company representative with the client and selected subcontractors during the project execution.
• Negotiate necessary changes to the scope of work with the client and key subcontractors.
• Responsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the project.
• Oversees establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, QA/QC, and other documents as required.
• Establish requirements for all areas of the project, and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria.
• Work with project engineers to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of the project and ensure that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
• Works with the key project teams to devise and execute actions plans to rectify any potential cost overruns or delays or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work and advises the client and company management of any such changes.
• Monitor and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.
• Establish regular meetings to review project status and formulate action items
• Assist in reviewing and negotiating contracts, liaising with legal counsel as appropriate in conjunction with the leadership team.
• Assemble key personnel for the project, utilizing internal resources as well as external through your existing network.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company's interests and maintain strong relationships with client.
• Contribute technical direction to the pre-award process by determining project scope, planning, and estimating and during construction, act as a technical resource for the project team.
• Lead the project team, sub-consultants and sub-contractors and coordinate all project resources.
• Monitor/control construction progress to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget.
• appraisals, disciplinary actions, addressing complaints and resolving problems; building talent and succession within the team.

Some of the projects responsible for
Kuwait Cancer Centre Project. KCC project is a critical step forward in the Kuwait Ministry of Health’s long-term strategy for national healthcare development.
The Kuwait Cancer Centre, is a new 618‐bed High Rise Hospital Project. The works comprised design, construction, equipping, and furnishing the new hospital, landscaping, multi‐storey car park, sky bridges as well as providing operational maintenance. The site area is 69, 500 m² and is located in the Al‐Sabah Medical District. In addition to this 8, 427 m² plot south of the hospital facilitate an approximately new 5000 m² Nutrition & Laundry division with their corresponding receiving facilities located in the basement of the hospital building.

Hospital building description
The hospital building comprised two L shaped Towers and a central canyon/glazed atrium. The East Tower is 280m long by 54m wide and 16 Storeys high. The West Tower is 190m long by 54m wide and 13 Storeys high. Across the canyon the towers are joined by a series of glazed steel connecting bridges at each level from 1st to 9th floors.
Car Park description
The building comprises basement (h:7.00m), ground and four (4) floors above ground level in addition to the roof
level equipped with solar panel covered canopies . The multi‐story car park is connected to the hospital building by skylight bridge. The client also demanded another skylight bridge to link between the KCC and the adjacent existing Behbehani hospital.

Roles and duties:

Management Experience
Supervise the work of managers, engineers and CAD technician. Provide them with technical and training support.
Ensure the engineering teams meet their committed design targets whilst ensuring deadlines, contractual and commercial obligations are also adhered to.
Cover any additional works to the project by issuing contract variation documents

Preparation of project management plan through :-

• Analyzing the projects needs
• Developing bill of quantities and advise purchasing department of the material requirement for the project
• Finalize CPM program and approving it
• Health and Safety Plan and Risk Assessments
• Holding meetings with client “normally on site” at very early stage of the project, establish and agree with all interested parties a detailed breakdown of project activities, programme
• Monitor contract activities and costs and keep expenditure to within budgets. Cover any additional works to the project by issuing contract variation documents

Design Experience
• I produce full structural calculations for the building structural elements such as columns, beams, trusses, walls and roofs. Carried out structural calculations to USA and UK codes of practice such as BS 8118, BS 5950, AISC and ASCE. Also conversant with KOC project specification
• Over my working employment with this company I have designed, detailed and supervised the installation of many steel buildings, see below examples of my work
• I applied my engineering skills and experience to develop solutions for many connections and façade systems.
• I have extensive working experience with computer software such as TEDDS, STAADPro and QSE to carry out stability analysis and design. I have also some working experience and received formal training for ETAB software.
• Instigated and put in place a full CAD environment using Tekla Steel and STRUCAD.
